My Silverstone TJ07 build.

What did the 'rust' look like? Remember nickel cant rust easily, it usually only tarnishes. I'd wager its only a discolouration, and can be cleaned quite easily with some brasso (or similar). Had the exact same issue with my GPU block.

The rust seemed to be coming from the jetplate, here's some pics, if you look carefully you can see the jetplate has one or 2 cuts in it.. I'm a bit weary of EK nickel blocks with all the issues they have been having, hence why I suggested copper blocks, but I hear they fixed them :

That rig is not good enough for you, it cannot be your baby, but I will gladly adopt it for you, love it like my own baby.

PS: Looking really good, I want.

I dont know :/ The jet plate is supposed to be stainless steel so it shouldnt rust either, cut or not. I would have contacted EK direct, most likely the shop is simply going to forward your query anyway.

I think i'll also send them an email just to see what they have to say..

Pirate Jetplates lol , jokes and loving the rig man thanks again for the fans man. One more thing are you using a killcoil or just plain distilled water with nothing inside it ?

Lol, you never know these days! Im just using distilled water as EK reckons even silver coil or biocide (containing copper sulphate) can cause corrosion. Upon closer inspection of the jet plate it seems the rust just rubs off as Archer suggested, so now I don't even know where it is coming from...

Wow buddy!!! Absolutely stunning!!

Can't wait to get my new stuffs and start with my project.

Didn't know one can use milk in the loop... what if it turns sour?? Cheese anyone?? :D :p

hahaha, thanks man, I have this uneasy feeling that I'm not done yet... *sigh*, damn you CUD!

Keep us updated with your new project, looking forward to seeing the progress ;)

I'm scared to work it out  the water cooling has been a work in progress for a while so a lot of that has been small purchases over about a year...

Awesome build! I love the white coolant, u not concerned about clogging staining ur blocks or is this 'the good stuff"

Thank you :)

Apparently it's "the good stuff" as long as you don't add any biocides (as it has them in already) or dyes. Any additives cause clumping and breaking up of the fluid, but only time will tell. From what I have read on the net many people have been running this for 1 year or more without issues. And no staining will occur as there is no dye in the fluid, it's mostly distilled water and zinc particles, again, from what I have read.

I will check up with you, in the near future :)...would like to use this liquid in a future build..looks hot. Good job!

hmmmm...

those look awefully familiar to a certain KFA orange build over at Bit-Tech
