MTN - What a useless bunch of fuckers

So, placed an order 2 weeks ago on their online site and paid for it. No delivery takes place. I try to contact them on all the normal social media sites as their online team does not have a number. The response i get is absolutely laughable. the price is wrong so my order is on hold(Price is still the same online as two weeks back and no one has notified me of such) and I have to pay an additional 1K before they release my order.

CPA - I could be wrong but I think if they accept payment they are bound to deliver at that price.
 
rather stay way from MTN as a whole.... ordered a contract phone through the online store 3 years ago.... 2 months later finally get the phone and i was told to go into one of the mtn shops to activate the thing so i went the east rand mall mtn they said there isnt anything they can do about te activation but they can cancel the current contract and provide me with a nw contract but i can keep the current phone and all of that , gave them the go ahead with it only to be billed for 2 contracts at the end of the month with me only having one phone and sim card in my possesion... long story short somewhere along the line someone from mtn kept the other contract phone and sim for themselves with me having to pay for it.. permanently had mtn phoning me to pay for both which refused to and this whole story was only sorted out last year with their own lawyers telling them theyve commited fruad and must clear my name and listing from ITC and they must close the whole case... still waiting for MTN to send the documents stating that theyve removed me from ITC...
 
Ask them if the goodie bag has R1000 inside.
 
And that is why MTN is rated as the 2nd tier provider in SA lol
 
1. My mother got an sms the other day stating that if she doesn't change contracts they will be changing it for her to something she dos not choose in the next month or 2 weeks, something ridiculous like that. So she called in and gets told "No we don't offer that package anymore and you have to change to something else or we will do it for you". Just like that, no notifications, no mails or anything to state that the contract she is on is now no longer provided by MTN. If she didn't read the SMS her service plan would have changed without her knowing.

MTN can eat winkie honestly. Shittest customer service, no interest or respect for their clients and literally always pull your cash first and you must fight them for your own money that they do not rightfully own.

2. Had a big fuck up with them a few years back where I was offered an "Closed contract" form the Cradlestone Mall store where once my designated data was up it would cut any traffic and not run out of data bundle rates. One night, I am at my mates house on their WiFi (on that contract whenever there was wifi I would turn mobile data off to not us the Mobile data), and next morning my father called saying he has an 8k bill because of out of data bundle rates. Turns out there were to sessions that ran on my phone through data obviously doing who the fuck knows what to rack up 8k in a combined time of like 3 hours. Go to MTN, the "person" that "helped" us , apathetically sat there mono toning the shit out of every response, tells us no these sessions went off and that is where your bill comes from. Meanwhile we are trying to get the root of how those sessions initiated in the first place. She didn't pay one bit of attention to or entertain that request.

Then she stated no the contract you have does not offer a "Closed contract" solution and that you are on an Open contract plan, which is why you ran out of data bundle rates, the out of data bundles rates at the time did not match and physically could not have amounted to R8 000 in the time frame which the sessions ran, which we did query and the only bit of salvation we got out of this while ordeal was that they checked the out of data bundles rates pertaining to the date's the sessions took place and adjusted the price of R8k to R3,xk. Meanwhile that's exactly what was offered to me in store, which we tell her. She then stated that MTN stores are not part of MTN itself and that you have to go back to that specific store and take it up with them. HOW THE FUCK, WHAT THE FUCK xD We didn't get anything out of there(MTN Headquarters is where this meeting took place), the woman slouched into and out of the room in which we met her, literally not one fuck is given to MTN customers, they do not care about them. Not in any of my experiences with MTN at least.

As you can see, MTN makes me VeRy AnGeRy xD
 
The way you bunch feel is how I feel about Vodacom. my wife converted her paid up no to a prepaid no, an hour later it was off the network.

we struggled for 2 months to get it reinstated. in between they still billed and deducted. finally we succeeded in cancelling the billing. 2 months later they kicked in again and billed and deducted the "missing months" (oh yes, in between they phoned and said they are going to deduct the missing months - I told them they do not have authorization. they put the phone down and deducted it anyway)

it took 11 months to get it sorted, one invoice at a time, to get the money back. and in between they billed, and deducted.

billing on a phone, that wasn't on a contract, but on prepaid. well done Vodacom.

if I didn't succeed in getting the regional area managers involved it would never have been resolved. My wife's best friend struggled for 2 years with Vodacom, and gave up - they never had anyone higher than the "customer support" minions to escalate to - they lost tens of thousands.
 
This is still on going. No one seems interested to give me an answer. Everyone just laugh when i mention it's mtn online. I seriously do not know what to do anymore.
