Hey man, all Freesync monitors are g-sync compatible now. With certain monitors, you have to enable g-sync manually in the Nvidia control panel

No, all Freesync 2.0 are g-sync compatible, freesync 1 has limited support.

Hey man ,not all monitors freesync monitors are supported, i’ve tried to enable it in nvidia control panel and it doesnt show, i’ve tried forcing it on through nvidia inspector , it kind of worked but the display image wasn’t smooth. I tried freesync with an older Vega card and the difference is night and day. I could get a monitor that is compatible but Its just not worth it for me.

Interesting, all the articles I've read suggest that with the latest Nvidia drivers all freesync monitors are now unofficially supported. That's obviously not the case then

No you are right , I think my monitor was one of the earlier high refresh monitors with free sync certification. But I heard AMD didn’t certify all of them officially as free sync monitors probably due to to those monitors failing the tests. What I find weird is that freesync works for me with no issues but not g-sync. I am certain all the new freesync monitors circa ~2018 are compatible with gsync.

Shit man, that's just unlucky that yours isn't on the list then
