It's not damage to the hinge, it's just some plastic that broke off the side of the laptop.

It's just the small hinge cap, broke when I placed the laptop into the bag and it hit the charger on the corner. Stupid me placing the charger in the bag first and in the same pocket Should be very cheap to replace.

May I ask how the laptop performs with current games, in your experience? Also, how does it do with regards to heat? Does it get very hot and throttle performance? Appreciate any insights you might have.

I have played: Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint/ The Division 2/ DotA 2 on the lappie and it runs them all super well in my opinion. I haven't seen the GPU temp go over 70 Degrees Celsius while playing games, and the CPU never gets to 100% load either. Haven't noticed any thermal throttling while gaming, the cooling on the lappie is fantastic. Fans can speed up quite a lot, but the noise is not unpleasant. I think the MSI "Raider" series of laptops are one of their flagship ranges.
