Nope, gaming Z for sure. Take off the back plate, chances are that the thermal pads dont even make contact. My mem temps dropped from 92 c to 70c when stressing the mem.

The gigabyte gaming oc also started off decent and then after 2 days or so the pads started oozing some piss and the thermal conductivity probably dropped.

Friends got a msi gaming x trio and his thermals are not as bad as the gigabyte though - just the bios power limit but he’s too scared to change the bios.

The Z has 30w more power from what I read, increasing it to 370w I think

Thats the other difference with the Gaming Z. MSI have fudged the bios so it cant be changed, at least not with conventional tools.

I’m going to. According from posts online, a slew of miners and gamers have managed to do it on both the X Trio and the Z Trio. I would assume the Z Trio is more capable as they likely altered the power delivery else I doubt they would’ve been able to extend the stock power target to 370W.
