MORDHAU (Steam)

It would be better if you got this my opinion only :)

Obviously I missed that. Looks pretty damn fun! Thanks :)

But honestly, multiplayer man. Drinks + buddies + shouting on discord

Sounds like a mixture of Mount & Blade and For Honor, with the most original title ever. Murder hit.

Mordhau is sick and runs flawlessly, smooth as butter, nice to have a game for this genre that works well. Really a steal at that price.

There are local servers as well. Must just find them in the server browser.

just dont get nioh with a widescreen monitor. Stretches the game out and it looks like you playing a short fat angry asian , in a colony of short fat angry asians.

It's super fun, most fun I've had in awhile.

I searched for like 20 minutes and couldnt find any? Will try my luck again tonight/over the weekend. Was trying to play on the EU server, but crikey -.- melee games arent fun with 180 ping..

On the Ping topic - it doesn't seem to always be accurate. We were playing on SA server and my Ping was reported to me as 120 - 180 but ran pretty fine, and my friends said on their list my ping is sub 40

Whaha! What a fun game! Holy crap. I found about 4 servers tonight, most of them pretty much 98% full (usually 30 - 40 slots per server). I stabbed mself some crumby bastards tonight. I'm not used to games like this, so for me theres helluva learning curve getting the timing right on slashes/parries/counter attacks etc. Highly recommended especially at the price

Please would anyone show me some of them servers, would love to play in them, this game is FUN!

When I searched one morning (just out of curiosity) i couldn't find any servers. When i searched last night, i set the filter to show me all game types, max ping of 100. Found 4 servers. If you're still having trouble drop me a pm and I'll send you a screenshot

Cool, I hopped on now to see and couldn't find anything on a hndred, just played a game now, will search again :)

Found oneee :D. For real though we must do some Horde modes and that, will be super fun with a whole bunch of Carbies to just smack pixels :D

I have better fps just because of local server :/ LOCAL SERVER HYYYPPEEEE!!!

Don't agree. But if you have a better suggestion, be my guest?
While the MOBA term (Massive Online Battle Arena) can technically be applied to almost any game, generally it refers to games such as Dota, LoL, SMITE, etc. What these games have in common is that you pick one hero/champion/character out of a pool that has specific abilities, play in teams against each other, get stronger throughout the game by killing the enemy team and/or their creeps/minions/NPCs, then end the game by destroying a final structure.

Mordhau doesn't really fit this description. It's closer to Battlefield Conquest mode in that you fight over specific objectives and have a set number of tickets/lives. And while you can customise your character with different weapons, armour and skills, you don't become stronger or level up during a match.

If there isn't a specific category on Carbonite that it fits under (FPS, RPG, MOBA, etc), then it can just fall under the main Gaming section as well.

In terms of the game itself, it does look like fun if I can get a couple of my friends to play with. I enjoyed Chivalry for quite some time but only when playing with friends.

Good rebuttal :)

The other super important characteristic of of a MOBA is laning. And whilst any arena will have limited paths unless the battle is primarily around those lanes and for control of them then it doesn't qualify. As soon as you lose the concept of lane control you are no longer looking at a MOBA. And I'm pretty sure MURDERHIT has none of that.

Ok now that you girls have had your say about the supposed genre of the game, are you going to contribute any worthwhile comments on the actual game? Since that was sortof the whole point here. Kthx

BOIS! Game is legit fun! It has caused my dota 2 addiction to disappear. Ain't no feeling like yelling charge as you run into 4 enemies before being decapitated xD
