I currently have the Model O and I love it, it's my perfect shape so naturally I'm considering buying the Model O Wireless but when you check online you find a lot of squeaky scroll wheel, recessed side button etc etc but then obviously people are more likely to post about issues than to post about something working like it's supposed to.

So my question is does anyone currently have or had a Model O Wireless they used for a while have any advice or comment of the state of your mouse?

Squeaky scroll is an easy peasy fix seriously, it comes from where the scroll sides turn ontop of the middle click. @Keyboard Kulture also knows of this fix. The wireless O is actually built better then the wired versions for sure, there is a slight latency feel on this mouse but it's ever so slight you won't notice it buddy. But then think about it this way currently the Viper Ultimate without charging dock is on special for R1800 and a Model O wireless is R1500, the ultimate currently is more mouse for your money I just highly despise the Synapse software.

Are you going to be competitive with the mouse?

I don't think I'm going to compete as in in tournaments for money but I am a sweaty tryhard with a 2.8KD in Apex.

Well then the Razer Ultimate will have the competitive edge over the Glorious, Glorious feels more prone to casual feeling gaming now but don't get me wrong it's good still but not on the level of the two top wireless ones still the Viper Ultimate or the Superlight, it's close as dammit but the other two ARE BETTER.

Razer Viper Ultimate Wireless Gaming Mouse - Black - Best Deal - South Africa I mean you don't even use the dock as much as you think anyway because the battery lasts a fair bit of time.

The Glorious Model O Wireless feels identical to the wired but they ironed out many of the QC issues they had previously Glorious Model O Wireless Gaming Mouse - Matte Black - Best Deal - South Africa they only have black in stock still

And in all honesty a great esports player can make even the most average of mice look good to others.... so I'd say if the Glorious feels good in hand to you the Model O Wireless is the next evolution for you

Now the other thing is if anything is wrong with either of them my ass has to deal with Evetech and they already classify me as Narnia for some reason and charge R216 shipping.

So Model O Wireless and maybe squeaky wheel or Razer Ultimate and maybe have mushy clicks.

I considered just getting new feet and a cable for my Model O and calling it a day but that works out at almost the price of me just buying a new Model O.

This shouldn't be this hard.

I just got the Model O wireless last week Thursday so took some time to get used to it, one thing to note from latency tests done online with the Model O wireless is out the box it has a much higher latency than the other mice but if you turn the DeBounce setting all the way down to 0 then the latency is drastically improved.

I turned the DeBounce all the way down and can confirm not experiencing any double clicks and latency feels good, never had a Superlight so I honestly cant compare, just listen to superrob the mans tested every peripheral out there.

Check this video out from 4:00 Here

I know I know, he is the man, I always keep an eye on his sale threads.

I'm just going to be real sad if I get mushy mouse buttons or a squeaky wheel and then I have to RMA or buy new feet, open the mouse and fix it, with shipping etc that's another 500 bucks.

Only thing I don't like about my Glorious mouse was that the cable failed after a few months. A wireless version sounds like it ticks all of the right boxes to be honest.

An idea only ;)

Would like me to purchase the mouse get it shipped for free to my home and reshipped to you >?

That's a very nice offer thank you but now Rob Rob'd all over my idea and now I'm seriously considering the Razer which unfortunately doesn't have free shipping.

There is also now a new option on the market. Go and take a look at the reviews online, they are stellar, and quite a lot of the guys have moved over to it.
The mouse I'm talking about is this:

I bought one last week, and I have to be honest, I'm smitten with it. I'm not a fan of Razer Mice, and have actively avoided them because of the way their button clicks feel, but this is the new generation of button, made by Kailh, and I dare say they rock!!!
It's super light, feels great in the hand, has a couple of really neat little tricks to it, and above all, battery life is amazing. I don't like rechargeable mice, I forget to recharge them and then end up completely ticked off when they die. I'm happy to keep a pack of batteries in the drawer, to replace them when needed, and at 2-4 months, I'm happy.

I have really fallen for this mouse, especially on a Sphex v2 Mouse pad👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Not sure if you saw but Scare from white rabbit uses the viper and his having issues with it, randomly switches off once in a while even though battery is almost full.

I asked him now, he says he thinks it's dog hair or something but he says he recommends it very much.

I am now really leaning towards the Razer.

If you ever have issues with razer products just pop me a message ;)

Am I really buying a Razer mouse after I shit talk them all the time.

It was on top of Zy's list forever too

@Soul Assassin also the one that @Keyboard Kulture said is nice however the Viper Ultimate is closer to the shape you prefer with the Model O and the Orochi does not have the opticals which caused me to lean towards testing the newer Razer products, had they not released some of this new amazing tech I would have passed them over.

@Keyboard Kulture the Ultimate warns you with colours if the battery is getting low, you can have it set like that and 5 minutes of charge gets you a whole lot of playtime now ;)

All Viper Ultimates I've weighed come in around 73/74g whilst the coloured variants seem to always get 78g

Both G Pro Superlights I've owned first one was 59g and the 2nd is sadly 60g when they advertise them at 63g lol

The Model O strangely was heavier by around 2 to 3g then advertised lol

I bought the O wireless but if I honestly had the budget I would of went with the superlight or viper, so if you got the budget might as well.

The Superlight is way too expensive but this R1799 Viper Ultimate might be the way.

I just read that apparently there is a "v2" Viper Ultimate with way crisper clicks you just have to check the serial.

Any bets on if Evetech will check serials for me?

Have the o wireless. Bought recently. Works just fine. Honestly the wireless mice these days are better than the wired mice of a few years ago. Unless you're a hard-core or pro gamer I would 100% move to wireless. I haven't tried the razer or other competitors...

Now I have to fix my YouTube, every single recommend video is a mouse review or a top 5 etc.

I ended up ordering the Viper Ultimate, if anyone wants to do the same I did confirm the stock that Evetech has are all the newer production models so nice crispy clicks.

Lol Youtube algo
I blame you.

Thanks for recommending the Viper, I would never in a hundred years thought about even checking Razer because I knew the normal price is like 3-3.5k with the dock.

If you ever have a spare dock lying around and feel like doing one of those limited time deals message me first.

Hi Man, was also looking at the Model O wireless and Viper Ultimate.

You still happy with your purchase? Have been back and forth between these two....

I haven't received it yet but I'm confident I made the right decision.

From everything I read about the Model O Wireless it's not even a case of if you will get something squeaky more of when will it end up happening to you and then you have to open it up or shove a brush into the gaps and lube parts.

If that's worth it to you the Model O will be perfect.

Then the Viper Ultimate was pointed out to me in this thread and all the research pointed to the main complaint being the clicks don't feel as good as a traditional mechanical switch and the buttons have too much pretravel and don't debounce as tightly as people expect.

These issues have been lessened/fixed in the newer production models made after around September 2020, I contacted Evetech and all of their dockless models are models made the last week of December 2020 so they're all the "new" versions.
