Hi all, Just got myself a 3060lhr and a 1060 6b, Just wondering if i should just go with nicehash and let it do its thng, or should i mine something that you guys recommend?

Go to whattomine, select the cards that you have and see what’s the most profitable.

NiceHash is probably the easiest but not necessarily the best / most profitable

Are you using a windows pc?
You could always set up a standalone miner - Trex or NB miner or such (Downloadable from Github) - Approximately 60 mhs on ETH on both cards

Keeping it simple, you can run Nicehash or Betterhash (similar) - Here you are at the mercy of the algorythm chosen by the system, paid in BTC

Or,
You could put them cards to work as a rig running HiveOs

There are many options out there.
As an example, i have dedicated mining rigs running on HiveOs, but my normal PC, i run my GPU with T Rex and my CPU on Raptoreum, so earning whatever i can with the available components.

SEBS Fintech channel could be quite helpful if you running miners off windows.

Hey man, thanks for the assist, i had my cpu running on raptoreum through cpuminer before i bought the cards,

the 3060 just arrived today, so im going to go home and put both in and probably run them on windows through Trex ( will research once i get home) Havent had lights for 6 days now as the substation near my place blew up. have all these parts ive bought and not being able to use any is driving me crazy. even the cell towers arent working anymore guess the backup power is dead.

Thanks for the info will do some research and hit you up with a message when i finally settle on something.

Hey dude, so finally getting pretty close to something im happy with, Ive since got another 1060 card and hooked it up to an old board and spare parts and have it running on the floor for now, HiveOS on a flash getting 23mh/s at 65C on Trex miner ethash.

The other build has been more of a bother, dual mining eth and raven trex, 42mh/s and 14mh/s respectively but high temps, 64 on the 3060 and 70C on the 1060, no matter what i do on OC setting unless i take a hit of around 5mhs on the 1060 to bring it down to 65C.

Im going to change to full ether when i get home as the block reward on raven halves today. i was getting roughly 83mh/s with all three running.
