I was considering starting a minecraft server in South Africa since there seems to be a shortage of them around and I wanted to first find out which server type is most popular.
I have created a Poll on here for you to chose from the List of server types. I will only be able to create one type initially and wanted to see which was most popular.
Choose the One you would most like to see First. Comment the other ones you would like to see!
If you have any ideas of a server you would like to see or some of the plugins/features you would like on one of the servers listed in the poll, then please post a comment.
Explanation of each server:
Survival - Pure Vanilla
Pure Vanilla survival styled minecraft server. Possible grief prevention plugins
Survival - Plugins and Shops
Your general survival with an economy, plugin for teleporting, warping, claiming, setting homes, questing, etc.
This will have a fully kitted shop and trading/auctioning
Survival - Hybrid (Vanilla+ - few plugins,limited shop)
This will be Vanilla in essence with a few plugins for claiming areas, setting a home, warping to vital areas.
This one would have a limited shop with either limited items or player based shops.
Survival - Towny + Economy
This will be a Towny server where you build up nations with maybe quests based on creating or being a part of a nation.
There will be ways to make money through a shop and by renting out land or areas. Based on economies, towns, etc.
Factions
Standard Factions where players form a faction and aim to become the greatest faction around by stealing.
Will have necessary faction and a shop. Focus will be on mining, crafting, mob farming to make money.
Skyblock - Classic
Classic skyblock where you have a floating Island with 3 different difficulties and a dedicated skyblock shop.
Skyblock - SkyWars
General SkyWars. (This will however require at least 2 or more players online at a time to make it work)
We could look at adding this as a type of mini game if it is popular.
Prison
Trapped and you have to find a way out. This would have different difficulties.
Creative - Plots
Standard creative where you claim a plot and build inside it in creative mode.
Creative - Overworld with plots
Similar to creative but the plots are claimed in the overworld where the terrain is more interactive and you can work with the terrain. So you could fly around in the world and find a place to claim a piece of land that will be set to a specific size. Could allow for some creative builds (This may be more suited as a server type once the server is bigger.)Other
Any other type of server not mentioned. Please give the types title and a short description of it.
If anyone would like to be part of funding and building of this minecraft server, then please pm me.

I will let this run 2 more weeks before I make a decision.
Will set the decision date for 30/06/2017.
