Hi guys.

I'm pretty new to using mikrotiks and I have run into an issue.

Previous setup was and ADSL router in bridge mode and the mikrotik would authenticate the ADSL.

New setup is a LTE router in front of the Mikrotik.

So i was notified that if i put the LTE router in and change the quick set from PPPoE to automatic the VPN and internet would come up on the mikrotik as if nothing changed.

After installing the LTE device the VPN came up as expected, however the internal network is not receiving internet access now. Anything connected to the LAN or wifi has no access but can see other devices on the VPN.

You need to add a dhcp client to the wan port likely, might need 1 or 2 more tweaks

I'm no expert but I've done a few interesting things with Mikrotiks. Let me start by asking what are you using the Mikrotik behind the LTE router for? Also, are you referring to Mikrotik's Dynamic DNS service which they mistakenly call "VPN"?
I suspect the LTE and Mikrotik are both trying to act as routers and DHCP servers in the same IP range or something else perhaps.
Try setting the LTE to bridge, if possible, as with the ADSL router earlier and resetting the Mikrotik (assuming you don't have custom scripts etc) and setting it up from the Quick Set menu as shown below.

In that case your internet IP address will be assigned to the Mikrotik router and 'VPN' should work fine. If you setup the LTE as the router and the Mikrotik in bridge, then VPN probably won't work but you'll have internet access and your Mikrotik will just be a glorified switch / access point :( You can setup both as routers with DHCP where the LTE could be on 192.168.1.1 and the Mikrotik on 192.168.88.1 with its external IP in the 192.168.1.xx range assigned by the LTE router, but that would just be a lot of unnecessary routing and the built in 'VPN' would still not work as the Mikrotik would think the external IP address assigned by the LTE router is your internet IP address, or worse, the firewall would block all comms because said IP range is not acceptable on the internet. If you don't come right, send some screenshots of your setup and let's try to get you sorted ;)

Sounds like n ip misconfig. The new router probably has a different range so routes doesn't work properly but I can't tell unless seeing the setup
