Microsoft Flight Simulator - FINALLY

How is the network performance when loading the sceneries, traffic etc?

The first few times I tried opening the game it just crashed, but after that it's been surprisingly smooth. Takes a few seconds when I load in initially, but nothing really after that. I'm on fiber though.

how does this xbox game pass for PC work?
For R50 a month it's worth it, not?
well with xbox game pass on pc you get to play a ton of other games as well for the same R50/month.
Definitely worth it imo.

On a side note, people who are playing flight sim? how is it?

Thanks, but do you get the full game for R50 a month or there is a difference between buying it retrail/online?
I'm installing it now, got fuck all else to do.

full game, just without any dlc content

This is about the only diff with EA Access Premier, Uplay+, and Xbox Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass is the only one that doesn't give you the DLC's as well, while the others do, but it also costs a fraction of what the other memberships cost

Is the update taking forever for anyone else? I signed up for the game pass last night, left it on download, and came back to 11 of 95GB completed. 40Mb line should've been 5/6 hours.

I've pulled down about 40 gig so far in about 30 min.

Yea looks like the update downloads individual files rather than a archive and then unpacking it.
This pretty much causes it to take longer as it 'restarts' the download/copy process for each file...
Stupid way of doing it, but it is a MS game after all...
Even on my 1gbps line this will take about 1-2hours when doing it this way...

Anyone of you guys ever try Xplane 11? Most reviews feel that its better than Microsoft Flight simulator. I kinda want to get into a flight sim but like properly into.

IMO, I'd stick with FS20 and wait to see how it develops. X-plane is a very good simulation no doubt, there are free scenery mod's which make terrain etc look better, but that's already all included straight out of the box with the new flight sim.

Then once you're running all these mod's, X-plane also becomes a bit of a resource hog, so... although they are messing around with Vulkan which is a big improvment.

You can try it, for comparison, before FS20 I was defenitly in the X-plane camp. The new flight sim has so much to offer though in the long run I feel, with all the appropriate pyhsics stuff built in for any 3rd party mods to really shine.

And no doubt things like P3D get ported over aswell.

Should've googled this in the morning, this fix worked for me: Slow download speed

Downloading at full speed after the fix and restart.

Didn't work for me sadly.

Still chugging along at a pitiful 20Mbps compared to the 250-300Mbps I get on Steam.
Over 12 hours to download 91Gb which would usually be done in an hour on Steam SMH.

Edit : Okay it seems like the fix did work a bit. Now averaging around 40Mbps.
