So that mean you getting it?
I definitely don't have R15k lying around. But hey if your offering I wont say no!

I saw the samsung but the 27" is the only issue really. 30"+ for me.

No No. The CJG isn't for you. This could be though, so the K3G3R.

So to be clear, in my opinion:
C27JG50 > M2A1R
K3G3R > C32JG50

Still debating with myself what to buy. I want to get something that will work for atleast the next 5 years (Doubt 4k 144hz will be cheap anytime soon)
Looking at this as well. Has a nicer design and 1ms response time. Maybe worth being patient and saving up the extra 2k for it?

It doesn't have 1MS response time. That's marketing mumbo jumbo. It's got 4MS like all other VAs.
But yes it may well be worthwile option. Whilst I don't think it will be much better it does likely "feel" better and worth it.

Does Gsync work with the 27" M2A1R as well, or just the 31,5"?
EDIT:
NVM, read the thread.

So adaptive sync will only really be useful under 60FPS? Is that a fair assumption?

It's useful all the time technically. But that's where it shines, the rest of the time it just eliminates some minor tearing.

Dunno whether the 27" also can that said I would rather take Samsung's CJG50 with no sync tech at all if you need 27" because VA.

Hmm well at 32" I reckon I would have gone with the K3G3R though simply because synch tech, it allows you to have your cake and eat it too to a degree.
It's just scaling down to 27" I shift away from the Mecer because they switch the panel out for a crappy TN.
But I'm sure both monitors are capable of delivering some awesome gaming experiences.

Who is experiencing hertz dropping from 144hz down to 67hz in game?
I found if I'm in the games menue I'm running at 112hz.
So I switch my screen of and back on to have my in game settings changed to 60hz.
So I change it manually back to 144hz. This is happening all the time in game only. Emailed photos to Mustek.
Drop me pm if you are experiencing the same issues.

1) I get this issue on some games. I sometimes play games in windowed mode so that I can operate on my second screen between games without minimizing the game.
Windowed mode causes 1 or 2 games to drop down to 60fps randomly. Changed to fullscreen mode and it stays up at 120-140fps.

2) On pubg I had this issue where the lobby would be 120+fps and then in game it would drop to a constant 60. Fiddled with Nvidia settings (cant remember specifics) and then it came right

Finally bought this Monitor, Wow I am impressed. Best 6k ever spend.

Coming from a 27" 1080P, This is a totally different experience.

My impressions:
  1. PPI is very good, Looks better in windows than my 1080P 27" - Very sharp - At arms length.
  2. Curvature is not to much, actually very nice for gaming.
  3. 144HZ is insane, I could immediately see the difference dragging windows around in desktop.
  4. No issues what so ever so far, Setup and installation is very easy. No flickering etc like other users
  5. I run Freesync OFF.
  6. Cant see any noticeable Ghosting with current settings.
  7. Colors Pop more than my old DELL IPS.
  8. Thin bezels
  9. Solid build quality and stand.
  10. Integrated Power supply.
Only con i really have is the OSD buttons and menu is a bit Meh. But you don't use this every day in any case.

Settings:

Brightness 90
Contrast 50
DCR: OFF
Gamma 2.4
Mode: standard
Color: Warm
Bypass OFF
Sharp: 50
Response High.
Noise, Super Res, DLC, Freesync: OFF
DP: 1.2
LED mode Off - Not sure what this is.

9.5 / 10 will buy again.

Peace out.

I'm thinking of buying the K3G3R, coming from a Samsung SA950 27inch I got in 2011. Any real issues with the monitor? I have been wanting to purchase a new monitor for years but always thought those 165hz Asus 27inch panels for R15k are a bit silly being that even at that crazy price point you are playing the panel lottery.

You're always playing the panel lottery. Whether you pay 2K or 20K.

And trust me, those ASUS 27" IPS (actually 144Hz, the 165Hz is pointless) panels absolutely are worth their weight in gold.

That said the K3G3R should be an amazing upgrade for you. Res would improve, PPI would improve, panel type would improve drastically, not to mention that glorious size.
