If ever you need a good everyday tech carry bag, this is it. Yes, its a camera bag at heart but don't be fooled folks - its way more!

I purchased the backpack about 2 months ago and have been using it as my EDC ever since. It goes everywhere with me except date nights (Unless date night is a board meeting. Yes, my wife and I are in business together, and yes; we are still happily married)

Some of its features:
  • Holds DSLR body, 3 lenses & accessories (Mouth watering)
  • Dedicated compartment for 15” laptop (Pfft, yes yes)
  • Padded camera insert with dividers (Yay!)
  • Variety of interior & exterior pockets (Can't have too many IMO)
  • Exterior tripod hanging solution (Don't use this, have tried it, seems like it works)
  • Padded back panel & adjustable straps (Very comfortable!)
  • Top grab handle & trolley strap (I travel... a lot... this helps)
I carry a lot of tech stuff (My wife calls it crap, but what does she know... "Yes dear; I'm coming now... Just finishing up this little wannabe review...").

My work requires me to carry a drone, yes, I say that but its probably more of a hobby. Thus when I was looking for a backpack, I wanted something compact (but could fit a lot), rugged, portable, adjustable and reliable.

So what do I carry in my backpack you might ask? Maybe not? Well, its this:

- Apple Macbook Pro 13" 2017
- Apple wireless mouse 2
- Apple Airpods
- Beats Solo wireless 2
- Beats Xbeats wired
- At this point, you're probably thinking, "Damn, but this dude is overkilling the headphones... Yes. maybe. but headphones is one of my tech weakness... and I love music, so move right along.
- Powerbank 20 000mh
- DJI Mavic Pro (With remote, extra battery and dock charger) (Yes it fits - you will see shortly)
- Wifi Hotspot with 20GB data (Vodacom) (Evil laugh....) EDIT: This is now upgraded to 50GB...
- Kindle (For flights and travel) (Makes me look sophisticated when I'm waiting for a flight)
- Notepad (Don't use it much, but makes me feel all executive when I hit the boardroom)
- 3TB 2,5 external HDD USB 3.0 (Travel Companion)
- 2019 addition - 256GB SSD external
- A little cable management bag which has my apple power bank, USB cables, iPhone chargers etc (I can do a little review on this on its own)
- Various adaptors for the MacBook (Bleh I know)
- Pills (Overnight travel emergencies)
- 2019 addition - iPad pro 11" with Apple Pen and Apple folio cover keyboard.

The bottom part of the backpack is adjustable and can be changed to fit DSLR cameras, or in my case, a Mavic pro, its remote and the cable management bag.

The top section holds the rest. What's nice about this backpack is if you want the whole bag you unzip the middle that separates the bottom compartment to the top you have a full bag.

All in all, a really nice backpack!

Apologies if it's not more informative but I like to get straight to the point. It's a great bag!

Anthony

Good review...but very clearly still a camera bag, not really that much more. Just perhaps one of the smarter ones out there.

Looks like a solid backpack, but for the price, I would have expected more aesthetically. Looks like a regular school bag

I would tend to agree but it's actually really solid on the exterior, the zips are smooth.

I perhaps would say that it’s not a tech bag that can hold a 17” etc but for travel purposes this bag works well.

You've got some delicious tech in that baggy of yours dude.

I had my tech bag stolen end of last year. Was extremely disappointing. Although the insurance paid for most of the big ticket items, it is still taking a very long time to get to where I want it again.

Damn that sucks! That is why i have specifically insured all major contents of my backpack.

I sent an itemised list to my insurance broker for the amount of R60 000.

My backpack contents have updated since the original post.

Scary to think how much monetary value we actually carry around in our backpacks...

My biggest item is a 2018 mb. Every now and again when I carry it haphazardly I need to remind myself of the investment I've put into getting the thing.

Then you go and fly your tech around in the sky.....

Nevermind backpacks. Most people would consider it too risky to walkaround with 2 grand of leopards on them but almost everyone has a phone worth 5K+ in their pocket.

So true dude!

Had a guy refuse to walk into my house with cash, he insisted on doing a EFT for R3k. No worries, walks in, checks the goods, then wips out his brand new gaming laptop to do the transfer on....
