Does anyone actually regularly use bitcoin to make purchases and transactions? I've been considering using it to make online purchases one sites that support it instead of giving out credit card information online. I am just doubtful of bitcoin transaction fees though? A couple of years ago I remember transferring bitcoin between me and a buddy and the fees were pretty high. Has that changed at all? Would it make sense to use bitcoin to make rather small purchases online, or would the fees just make it unfeasible? Can't really seem to find out what the average fees would be for a simple purchase. To me it seems bitcoin still just seems to be mostly used as an "investment" instrument, and very few seem to use it for regular transacting in places where it is accepted?

Not an expert but I doubt anyone is transacting directly in BTC, even ETH fees are way too high now.

LTC and XRP were fair last time I checked. I have even accepted payment for goods in LTC.

Download a Lightning network BTC wallet and use that to transact. Send BTC from your hardware wallet or exchange wallet to the lightnight wallet. That's the only considerable fee involved. All lightning network payments are instant and cost a few cents.

I use Muun wallet. Available on the Play store. Literally instantaneous transactions.
