So, got the RAT today, to replace my well used, many years old, but still perfectly working Mad Catz MMO7.
This is just my personal likes and dislikes, and not meant to be a tech spec sheet.

Packaging is functional but nothing spectacular.

Very good build quality, feeling good in my hands, lighter than the MMO.
I like the matt look of the top body more than the MMO glossy finish.
(Damn good looking mouse, not the run of the mill same o same o bodies.)

The two side buttons feels slightly less smooth to press than the MMO, and a bit more plasticy looking (black), but works perfectly.
I like the silver accents of the buttons etc on the MMO more than the black but that is just me.

RGB is vibrant, looks good and not too over the top.
Sensor is super accurate. I tested it by drawing shapes and doing precise photo editing (normally done with my Wacom Pro pen) etc in Photoshop, and a noticeable difference from the MMO7. (and a few older different mouses I have lying around. Perfect.
Also seems to track a lot more accurate in Horizon and Red Dead, but did not play extensively and I am Cannon Fodder at best.
Cord is softer than the MMO, dont feel like it is in the way at all.
Mouse pointer does not move around on the table with the music thumping bass. MMO sensor can move about just a bit , being a sensitive soul and all.

You can use the software to get the damn thing to make coffee as well, it is so customizable. Nice.
The side thumb scroll button works perfectly, and I customize it in a few different ways in Red Dead to test, awesome.

So what I don,t like, or are just not use to yet:

Firstly, the thumb rest mechanism to make it go forward and backward is super tight, don,t seem to work, (so need to send back..........eish)
The scroll wheel is definitely more clicky and I don,t like the light silver around it, looks more like white, and personally prefer the MMO silver.
Wheel looks and dare I say, feel cheaper than the MMO. (But to be fair, the MMO wheel is definitely more used and smoother)
The Left and Right buttons is more clicky or noisy than the MMO, but again, MMO is very well used.
(Sounds like using Mechanical keys if u are used to membrane keyboard sounds. :)

Overall, the only really negative thing is the none working mechanism, all the rest is personal preference.
So far, happy with the purchase.
Cheers

Not sure how? Please help me out.
You will either have to delete, then recreate under the review section. But don't stress. The @ tag I made was for all the mods of Carbonite. I'm sure as soon as one of them sees it they will move it.

The review section is kinda hidden on the forum, but atleast your thread will live on forever there and not get lost in smacktalk.

Update.
Being using it for a while today, and I got use to the Left and Right Click sounds.........:) Not so bad after all. Better than my Corsair Red keys..

If you need one, I have a spare in the cupboard that you can have for free.
It had the famous issue of the sensor dying, so Its not usable unless you want spares.

Will keep you updated. I have 3, one have a issue with the left click sensitivity and the one forward button at the side gone (actual button) Sensors etc working as they should.
If you don,t get sorted with the guy above, let me know. :)
