Good day,

I am 22 years of age, I am currently looking for a new job in IT Industry if possible, but willing to do any office type of work.

I only have matric at this point, due to lack of funds to futher studies (Software Developer).

Previous experience :
Vodacom Shop Supervisor/Consultant/Technician
2 years 6 months

Transport OPS Clerk (Current)
11 Months (October to be 1 year)

Reason why I want to leave my current job is I am working 12 hours a day for 7 days a week with only 1 weekend off in a month, with little to no time to attempt to further in any studies.

I am willing to take any type of office job, and I do try my best to excel in my job.
If any of you are able to assist me I will be forever grateful.

CV will be sent upon request.
I am situated on edge of Gauteng and Mpumalanga.

PM for any further inquires.

Thank you in Advance.

I wish you all the best bro, more especially for you to get into Software Dev. One advice I would give is to keep pushing and keep applying yourself. It will all workout.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Thanks for all the good vibes, really hope someone here will be able to help me out.

I find it hard to understand that you working a 7 day shift with only 1 weekend off per month , does not add up

I would motivate to change department with immediate effect !

Obviously I cannot mention company name here.

But let's just say my area I live in this is a normal thing.

Small area, little to no jobs and underpaid employees ( not me, I am getting a decent salary(still underpaid) but more than previous job )

Thus I came here and hope that someone is able to assist me.

**Edit : Also working mostly night shift, without getting any shift allowance.

Yep pretty much slavery,I have a friend that works 10-10 six days a week for peanuts.
And its a big courier company in Jbh,so this is proberly a growing trend in the country/world.
Good luck OP,at least you still young.

The CCMA will help as its against labor law, whether he signed the contract or not.

I will also verify with our HR department.

The CCMA will assist as this is against the BCEA and the LRA. Also code of good practice. You are jot allowed to override the legislation, you may make amendments but the law is clear on working hours and breaks.

Thanks for all the advice.

But at this point it's the only thing I have, and I already did my research on the subject.

But I am looking for a different job...so at this point I am staying here and working these hours, until I find something else.

Thanks again for everyone who commented.

I worked more then 45 hour shifts per week and was told due to the nature of our Profession my contract would be structured so , perhaps other industries are different also attended course on Chairing a Disciplinary enquiry so the labour law was exercised with real cases for our praticals my lunchbreak was at 3am after all the bullshit people call in to report

Still desperately in need of a job...

Bump, still desperately need a job

Dude, PM me your details. Its only a junior position, but you will learn a lot about SCCM, networking, servers and general IT. From there you can take it further. Position is in Sandton and it will be after hours, as you need to chase the sun for USA and China.
