Looking for anything relevant or with synergy to my skill sets. Returned to South Africa in the beginning of Covid Lockdown in 2020 to be with my kids.
Then ended up stranded in ZA when South Africa was put on every ones Red list. Kind of decided it was a good time to retire, but found out it does not suit my personality and that I am way too young for that.
Coming from an IT Operations and production back ground I got involved in Retail and SC , in 2000 when I joined Savi Technology in California.
Since then I have spend all my time in Developing, implementing, designing or managing the products and projects of some of the largest IT, Supply chain and Logistics infrastructures in the world.
These include the US Department of Defence, USPS, BMW, CHEP Asset Pooling and NATO.
In the retail market I have worked with Toys R US, Dell, Spar, Wal-mart and CostCo.
My Masters was with a specialization in Business Technologies.
Initial positions with Union Carbide and Transnet (USA) was on the program side of Enterprise MIS/ICT
Since 2000 with Savi Technology (www.savi.com) and CHEP (www.chep.com) I have been intimately involved with the ICT product restructuring and programs of Retail supply chain and Information Systems Solutions.
In most cases this involved the A-Z optimization and re-engineering of existing ICT products or Software, new technology/software deployment (RFID, AIT and Mobile Technologies), Integration into existing Information structures and ground up automation solutions.
Involved in the original management buy-out of Savi Technology from Raytheon in 2000 and then the sale of Savi to Lockheed Martin, July 2006, whence I joined CHEP in RSA, to run first the PlusID program(EMEA) and then the Material Intelligence ERP project(Global)
