Did anything come of this?Oh, and I'm on the waiting list at Rev too. Thanks for this.
Can one do this after hours? Are you bound by any hours (say 8am to 5pm) that you MUST work or something?Did anything come of this?
Can honestly recommend REV.
My mother and I have been using it for a few years.
They pay R7 to R14 per minute of audio transcribed. Even if it takes you an hour to do a 10min job, that's R70 - R100/h, which if you translated that to an 8 hour day 20 days a month, that's R16 000/month.
The more you do it and the better you get at it, you can start doing 10min jobs in 20min or less.
This would equate to ~R210/h, at least R33 600/month. But that's ofc if you treated it as a daily job and not a one hour a day side hustle.
I know of people that can do it in the same time or less of the actual audio (they speed up the audio), which means you could earn hundreds of Mandela's/hour.
They also have "seasons" where certain companies post really simple ads that need transcribing, 1min projects, but they pay 1$ - 3$ per project, you can crank them out really fast and earn some decent cash.
It did take me a few accounts to get in, I kept failing the tests (They don't tell you why)
But on my 4th attempt my account was accepted and after about 30 projects i still have a 95% accuracy score.
If you need/want any other info, give me a shout.
Nope, no strict hours. Can one do this after hours? Are you bound by any hours (say 8am to 5pm) that you MUST work or something?
thank you for this, I appreciate it. I just dont see where you actually register to do the actual work, is there a process involved? Requirements that need to be met?Nope, no strict hours.
You work when you want to. The platform runs 24/7. But the main clients are in the US of A, so the most workload will be 7 hours behind our normal day.
Think of 5PM Amarican time when companies close and submit files for transcribing, that will be midnight RSA time.
I just logged in now, there are over 300 projects avalable, all between 5-40min long, and pay between $1 - 0.4$ per minute. So each project is worth 3$ to 40$ depending on payout and length.
I take breaks of months between, you just sign a new NDA and off you go.
Once you claim a project to do though, you do have to finish it within a set time limit (They are paying customers after all)
You normally get 5-10 hours to complete and submit a 10-20min audio/video.
To avoid hijacking the thread, will move to PM.thank you for this, I appreciate it. I just dont see where you actually register to do the actual work, is there a process involved? Requirements that need to be met?
Thanks for this.Have you perhaps tried applying for those Amazon Customer Service jobs. I think the only requirement you have to meet is have a 10mbps internet connection(fibre only). The hours are shit but the pay is decent.
