I Qualified a few weeks ago and only just realized how difficult it actually is to find a job out here, ArcelorMittal is currently going through a 189 process, meaning approximately 1500 positions are being cut, including the one I was supposed to be appointed in. I'm willing to do anything in the mechanical field to gain experience, I also have decent experience as an IT technician (worked as a techy for a year before starting my apprenticeship), but unfortunately never did my A+/N+.

Not in your area for the most part, but there are fitter positions open at Sappi...

I don't have anything in my plant for you, but the above is in the saiccor mill (where I work) , and its a good work environment.

All applications are handled through the careers portal, but it certainly can't hurt to apply.

Thank you. I have applied on their site and to numerous other job listings in my field (probably sent out close to 100 cv's so far), but haven't heard anything back in the past 2 weeks. Also been applying at labor companies, contractors, etc. But I'm staying optimistic, I'm sure something will come up.
