Did you spot the bug today? Maybe they fixed it by the time you played.
For me Xia was a clown, so when they gave the clue about the person above a mech, I only had one mech and that person was already identified as innocent I think. Just checked now and Xia is a mech! Thankfully Reddit confirmed that I wasn't losing my mind

I didn't! It was fixed when I played. My mistake is from not being able to count rows properly.
