Welcome - YNWA!

I don't think we are gonna win the league this year. I think AFCON is gonna screw up our season. Man City looks favourites . We probably have a better chance in the Champions league.

The top of the league is very tight....City are going to mess up at some point....With afcon coming, our main hope is that we can send Salah, Mane and Keita off late so they can atleast play the Chelsea game - also, potentially with AFCON, they most they will miss are 2 games - Brentford and CP. Afcon ends on 6th Feb, if any of these teams to make it to the finals.

Its going to be a tight league run, and in the CL i think the biggest worry for us is Real Madrid right now, they are playing well and did knock us out last year. Either way, its going to be an interesting run. The upcoming fixture pile-up will determine how the 2nd half will play out in my opinion....West Ham are hanging on to that Top 4 spot and have beaten all the teams above them besides Man City.

I think it will be okay of afcon allows them to say for the Leicester City and Chelsea games, but if they leave after the Leeds game we will most definitely have a problem

Tyler Morton a real treat to watch!

Konate had King Zlatan in his pocket the whole game!

Going to be interesting to see who we get for round of 16

When is the Champions League Last 16 draw?

The draw for the Round of 16 will take place on Monday December 13, at 11am (UK time).

The draw will be live streamed by UEFA on its website, while you could watch the draw on BT Sport.

Liverpool's possible last-16 opponents
Paris Saint-Germain
Sporting Lisbon
Inter Milan
Barcelona or Benfica
Villarreal or Atalanta*
Lille, Salzburg or Sevilla

Well, you definitely want to avoid PSG and Inter Milan....
I didnt include Barcelona in this list, because they are ripe for the picking if they make it through...whoever gets them, can knock them out. The rest of the teams are by no means easy.
If i had to pick, i'd prefer Lille or Salzburg, then would be either Lisbon or Barcelona/Benfica.

Thats just me personally

So, confirmed...the following can be one of our opponents in the last 16:

• Paris Saint-Germain
• Sporting CP
• Inter Milan
• Villarreal or Atalanta
• Benfica
• RB Salzburg

There is also no away goals this season. Who do you prefer playing? On current form, i think we can take any of these teams, but ideally i'd like to avoid PSG and Inter Milan.

To be honest we never get the easy route. So we'll probably end up with either the worst case( psg or inter ) or mid range ( Villarreal or salsburg) So for me it really doesn't matter who we get.

Agreed on our current form we should be able to put any team to the sword.

I beg to differ... its the "underdogs" that's dangerous as they start to build momentum thinking "we can actually do this!"

There's an "expectation" on the favorites which puts them under more pressure... So I say bring the "big guns"

We're one of the favorites as well so...

Ajax is going to be the team to watch...they have been on fire this champs league.

That being said, its an interesting draw...no strong match-ups really in my opinion...

Benfica vs. Real Madrid
Villarreal vs. Manchester City
Atletico Madrid vs. Bayern Munich
FC Salzburg vs. Liverpool
Inter Milan vs. Ajax
Sporting CP vs. Juventus
Chelsea vs. Lille
Paris Saint-Germain vs. Manchester United

i think these will be the most exciting matches

These do look good, on paper...i suspect though the AJax vs Inter game is going to be the game of this round...

Yeah, how do you mess up in this magnitude? Well, lets wait and see what happens now...they need to get their bribe money payments sorted out correctly.

Yep, the only teams happy with this redraw would be manu and athletico

Apparently the mistake was made when Villareal drew Man United....and thats when they should have stopped the draw and declared it invalid. They were in the same group. They drew city after that, and then continued with the draw...

Tough game.. some bad calls from the ref, should have been a clear pen for Jota.

Not our best performance tonight against Inter Milan...lucky we didnt concede goals in the 2nd half when Inter put the pressure on us...they could have had 4-5 quick goals with the how poor we started that 2nd half.

Diaz is looking good as always, seems a very direct type of player which is refreshing to see....a completely different prospect. Firmino getting us a goal against the run of play changed the game for us....and a gift for Salah as well.

2-0 up with a minute + injury time left.

For sure. 1st half we had 2 massive chances from mane a bit unlucky.

That second half though was a real test for us. TAA was really poor , not only in defence but his corners and crosses were sub par.

Diaz looking really sharp! Hopefully he starts against Norwich on Saturday.
