Item Wanted: Samsung A10 A11 or other - see below
Contract/Cash: cash
Packaging Essential: no
Desired Age: less than 2 years
Location: Pretoria / Centurion / Cosmo City
Willing to accept a shipped item: Prefer meeting face to face
Ballpark/Budget Amount: R1000
My daughter is a Type 1 diabetic since she was 2. She has been on insulin pump therapy since day 1, which enabled her to largely keep in the <7 HbA1c range which is a key indicator of long-term health complications. The latest T-Slim pump with Dexcom sensors she has been using for the last year or so is a huge step forward in terms of accuracy and control - much closer to the natural blood glucose control that a working pancreas could achieve. It is bundled with a Dexcom G6 app which allows my wife to monitor her BG in the next room, at school, at a party, etc. and gives incredible peace of mind.
The software is not very resource-intensive, but because devices have to be FDA-approved, only some phones are supported. The Samsung Galaxy S5 and S6 hand-me-downs that we used until now eventually stopped working. Seeing that he A10 and A11 are supported, I got her an A12 on contract, only to find it is not supported (with Dexcom spinning all sorts of reasons why the two earlier models are supported but the successor still not after almost a year on the market). So if anyone has a disused A10 or A11 (or S8 or S9) I'd be interested to buy it. iPhone 6S and up is also supported but not preferred.
Many thanks,
Francois
