Howsit everybody,

Hoping some tech guys can assist me. I have a Lenovo T460 and it seems to have a bios issue. Not sure if bios was trying to be updated from windows or something, but the bios boot priority and boot menu shows no devices. Even though boot menu shows the devices there, will not appear under boot menu.

I see it is a bug on the bios and the latest bios will fix it but I have tried the following with no winning:

1) Lenovo latest bios using their software to make a bootable flash drive. Does not appear on boot list.
2) Windows 10 boot drive (works on other laptops but does not appear on this laptops boot menu).
3) Using Wincrisis following a few guides (tried it with compressed bios and uncompressed). Tried it win FN/WIN + F/R/B/K/ESC all different key combos. None worked. That supposed to force the flash of the bios.
4) Tried number 3 with all usb ports, multiple USB flash drives, etc.
5) Tried a hard reset (Remove all batteries including the CMOS). No difference.
6) Tried a different hard drive (empty) and tried a hard drive with an OS loaded. No winning.
7) Tried Hiren's boot disk. Does not show on boot menu (either of them).

What is odd is that the bios works except boot menu. Found a link to the Lenovo website showing another device having the same issue. Seems Lenovo would replace the board but this device is out of warranty. Maybe somebody knows a trick that I don't or has the equipment to flash the bios directly that is JHB based. I don't mind paying for the service.

Tech guru's, any advise?
