Legit part-time remote jobs

I've had moderate success doing odd jobs over the years mainly doing freelance work. helped me earn decent money over the years but I probably couldn't do it as a full-time job. One month can be good and the next can be bad as clients can and do end work at anytime.

I've mainly used Upwork and had some success by cold messaging people on LinkedIn (it's been hard work but can be rewarding and at the same time, there are dark periods when no work comes).

With that said, does anyone know of legit sites that can pay you for simple tasks like transcribing, filling out surveys, selling essays etc? The vast majority are scams or you have to work tons of hours just to make a small amount of money.

I know of ways to make income but it's not an easy road and you will be met with a lot of rejection but this is what I did.

-What are your knowledgable about, coding, travelling, science etc and focus on this.

-Reach out to people on LinkedIn who are involved in similar fields and may be running websites, YouTube channels etc and offer them your services (this generally gets about a 90%+ rejection rate but if you persist, there is bound to be a yes, here and there).

- Do a keyword search for "remote" on all the job search websites and sometimes jobs come up.

Check out Invisible Technologies. Its AI training. The application process is hard but if you get in you can earn up to 50k + a month. I have a mate thats been doing it for a while. But its not stable as you can get laid off any day as its a US based company

Tbf, that's pretty much the nature of freelance work. That's why it's best to try and have multiple freelance jobs. It really only works well as a full-time job if you are either very lucky or a top 1% talent in your field and most people are neither of those things.

Have a look at outlier, I do part-time tasking on there, it can be incosistent but I recently got put into a pod of prioritized taskers so it been better, my rate is $32.50/h but depending on which position you apply for, the lowest end of the rates are about $15/h Outlier

Ive made about $3000 since I started doing it in January, if you are a coder you can dm me and I can get my QM to fast track you

Same story with outlier tbh, havent heard of this one tho, Ive been doing it very much as a side gig tho, wouldnt rely on it for fulltime work (I got bored over my annual leave and found something to do rip)

Back on the market. As I mentioned got laid off last August. I was lucky enough to get a remote freelance gig which paid decently and was initially put on a six month contract in November. However, the client told me they had a sudden budget cut and had to end the work prematurely.

I may have a job for later in the year but look set to have a few months at least without anything. If anyone knows of any gigs, would appreciate a link.

It's a hard road but possible. You need to find out what skills, knowledge you have that is sellable and contact companies you are interested in working with. It can require a lot of persistence.

I'm still looking also if anyone knows of anything.
