So, my AC-Lite blue glow was no longer. Turns out the LEDs become more and more dim over time.

I found a thread to change them out, and I ordered an LED to change in my AP. Can't order 1 unit. No, you order 100. 100 LEDs when I needed 1.

What the hell do I do with 99 spare LEDs?!

Here is the link to the tutorial to change the LED out. If you're wanting to do this, then come get an LED for free!

Nice! I also have the same issue on two of my older AC-LR's. Have you changed the LED's yet?

Or you go to an electronics store like GT-Electronics or Eileen's Electronics.
They'll sell you singles.

SMD? Last I saw they only had normal leaded LEDs, not SMD ones.
I just purchased from eBay with the info that was provided on the tutorial. I wouldn't know what to ask for if I were to go to a place that sells this kind of thing...

I got 99 problems but LED's aint one of them

No. Will need to schedule the down-time at the home. So 5am on a Sunday probably...
Ah ok, if you not comfortable doing that kinda soldering I don't mind helping. Provided you don't mind doing the Trek to Benoni :)

So an update on this thread. I changed out my AP yesterday with one I'll be installing in a new part of the house soon, and thought I'd use the opportunity to get the current AP sorted out. Some pics of the AP opened up. Minimal damage when done carefully. Only some slight plastic scarring and one broken clip!
