Why not get the Xiaomi Yeelight for R399 ? Its a porper smart bulb.

You can get converters from Builders or Mica and change fitting if needed :)

You cannot go wrong with Xiaomi

Yea I'm after the Yeelights, they look pretty good. This is just a test I want to do and see how they operate and if its actually useful or just a gimmick.

I don't want to import AT ALL

Burnt my fingers 3 times in the last year importing stuff.

If we buy more than 10 together I can get them cheaper.

If you guys want I can make a thread and get 10 and you buy from me. I need another 2 or 3 ... if you guys can make up 8 or so we can save almost R40 per a bulb :)

This is what I did :) made my own swart rustic light. Cost like R780 with bulbs where the lightibg place near me want R1700 for just the holder ... crazy stuff

I got the V2 which is more efficient, slightly higher Wattahe but much brighter light :)

Really love saying "Ok Google, turn on Bedroom lights or change to Red " or whatever I need

I think make the fred if you don't mind, I'm pretty sure we'll fill up with 10 guys with itchy wallets quick enough

Its already E27. These are the ones i get from China.

This is my question as well, I dont want to import just 1 or 2. Maybe we can organize a group buy or something

Sorry i didnt pm you earlier. I do have 3 new ones still in stock.

(I closed my reseller thread while i was trying to work on a website etc first)

Are your V1 or V2 ? Grey or white base ?
Price ?

Yes they are E27 standard but when you make your own frame you don't get E27 fittings easily :/ Makro, Builders, Mica and 2 other hardware stores did not have ... only a big ugly porcelain one :/

But I actually experienced the same so i'm working on a website and want to rent a store in a mall etc. or atleast improve advertising. Off carb is better prospects, you can even sell on Takealot (i'll do so after the website is up)

Lol now this thread is going crazy, ok lets wait with the seperate thread then
I will fond out pricing and post on here and see what people think.

I paid R399 fpr the v2 RGB :) great device

Go look under my threads for Google Home Tips. There are also Sonoff Switches for R130 and you can control any electical device through your phone (or google home/Alexa)
