Hey Citizens of Carb,

If you need any metal laser cutting work done, I am your guy!

Mild Steel Cutting: up to 12 mm
Stainless Steel Cutting: up to 3 mm (we can cut thicker- up to 8 mm but generally don't keep above 3 mm stainless in stock)
Aluminium Cutting: up to 3 mm

We also have some great products which I will make separate posts for.

If you have something you want cut, simply forward me the drawings with required sizes and we will get to it. Even a simple hand sketch is fine to work from.

We offer a full sheet metal service so we can also bend, weld, powder coat, insert fasteners, etc. where required

Some examples of our work:

This looks awesome!

Do you perhaps have some examples of pricing? Maybe on some of those pics you posted?

Also, what materials do you do? Stainless, aluminium, etc

Thank you =)

As mentioned in original post:

Mild Steel Cutting: up to 12 mm
Stainless Steel Cutting: up to 3 mm (we can cut thicker- up to 8 mm but generally don't keep above 3 mm stainless in stock)
Aluminium Cutting: up to 3 mm

With regards to pricing:

Anything custom I will work out a quote and is dependent on whether we need to do drawings, the complexity of the design, etc.

Saying that, for the items in the pictures - Not the best to go by but here goes:

The electrical trunking box - 0.8 mm Galvanized Steel, Size is 2450 mm long and around a 100 x 70 mm profile- R345 for a 2450 mm length.
The Solar Smart Box - I cant recall.
The Barbershop Shoe Display - I have got standard shelving which I will make a post for with pricing.
Porsche Logo - Just cut this for fun to test how detailed the machine could be.
Hygge Studio Name Plate - 1.5 mm Stainless Steel - R35 - it was pretty small - maybe like 75 x 25 mm or around there

As stated, I will create posts for the products which I believe will be of interest to members and from those, you might be able to get a better idea. But if you need anything- just contact me and I will work out a quote.

I am quite interested, currently using some suppliers but some are cheap, with long lead times or quick but expensive.

Do you price on area or linear meter cut?
Reason I am asking if I want to cut a square 1000x1000 plate it's quite expensive if calculated using area, but linear meter and thus cutting time is actually less than a intricate 500x500 piece.

What's your table size?

To get a feel for pricing can you quote on washers

It makes sense that the supplier who can give you the items faster, are asking for a bit more as what is the point in being cheap if you can't deliver the goods? The highest quality, fastest delivery times and cheapest prices are unlikely to come from the same source in any industry .

Bed size is 3 m x 1.5 m

You are spot on in your thinking for working out a price. Pricing is generally worked out on 2 factors:

1. The area of the material
2. The cutting time

Factor 2 above - cutting time - is made up of a number of secondary factors which contribute to the costing, and depending on what is being cut, there are variable considerations such as gas usage, consumable life, machine life expectancy, electricity consumption, operator costs, handling costs, etc.

Pricing for your washers sent via PM

Good Morning. Thanks for the support so far!

Good service and good price from Dazzy.

Question when I send my next jobs to him can one give a feedback rating for each job?

If I understand correctly, as long as we agree to a deal on carb, we can do feedback for that deal, even if it was multiple times for the same thread. Please can a mod correct me if I'm mistaken?

If however, you contacted me via Whatsapp/email directly for something you need- then there would be no feedback as the deal wasn't made on Carb. I have done this with other Carbies in the past - bought stuff from them first time on Carb - then just whatsapped them when I needed something else at a later stage.

Saying that, from my side, as amazing is positive feedback is, I am not looking to spam feedback ratings - if I have given you good service, I am grateful for the one feedback rating and hope to have you as a client for any future work you may need.

Bit of a long post but here it comes;

I've been on a home improvement, destroy-it-yourself war path for the last few months, and it was quickly becoming time to do something to the garage.
Most of my tools are in boxes and if I wanted something, I had to dig into the bottom of a bin to get it, which VERY quickly became annoying.
Somehow the thing you're looking for is ALWAYS at the freaking bottom of the box.

I decided a pegboard would be the way to go to solve it since shelves already didn't help.
Leading up to black friday, I was constantly checking prices, and come black friday not only did the prices increase, everything was out of stock.

So I did what every pleb with no pressing work did and fucked around on carb. Where I stumbled across this thread.

At the point @dazzy did not yet reveal that they actually do pegboards, so I reached out and asked "hey would you perhaps be able to do a pegboard" and the answer basically was "absolutely"

I asked what felt like a million questions between that day and today, and he answered every single one with patience and helped guide not only what would work, but also what to think of and what to avoid.
So 29 November to 9 December was spent planning exactly what was needed, and 9-11 December was spent by them making it.

So, an obligatory before photo,

And the after;

Small thing I have to mention, they went out of their way every step of the way, even including the screws that I wanted to use to mount it.
Because its massive, I did not feel like normal fischer plugs would cut it, so it was going to have to be coach screws or rawl bolts.
Coach screws was the sensible choice, and they included all 22needed to mount this thing onto the wall, yes, 22 of them - This thing is more stable than our economy.

To anyone sitting on the fence asking if having something custom made to suite an exact purpose is worth it, it 100% is, and they absolutely nailed it.

Are you able to do anodising? I have a keyboard case that needs to be colour matched and re-anodised

@ovisser1 - You are legendary! Thank you so much for the support and for your kind review above. The result looks amazing and hope you enjoy using the system!

@Cujo26

We don't but a customer of mine sends their anodizing here:

I cannot personally say whether they are good but my customer seems pretty happy.

assuming the electrical trunking box was only a 1 sided job?

how accurate would you be to do 1 inch holes, all around, along 76x76mm, 3mm square tubing for a gym rack machine?

Tubes are tricky but not impossible. What would the length be? And pitch of the holes?
