Hi Guys

Looking for someone who has experience with laser cutting who would be able to advise...

For a budget of say R10k what would be the cheapest / best laser cutter that can do laser engraving and be able to cut 6mm shapes for something like example this Baby Activity board, with shapes having smooth edges and not being burnt, is it even possible with such a low budget? Or is there someone in the Cape Town Northen Suburbs area that offers cheap laser cutting services where we can just bring the wood and shape(s)?

Ive done some metal laser cutting. no experience with wood.
6mm is a lot to cut while expecting it not to burn. i think CNC would be more suitable.

Look at the cron CNC and lasers, not bad, but has become a bit more expensive.

First question i have is, what is your willingness to tinker with stuff and second is, how willing are you to fail?

You will make mistakes and figure out what works for you but be prepared.

Otherwise its almost better to look for someone that could do it for you as a paid service.

Otherwise, just reach out. Will be more than happy to give you more info.
