Is there anything out there simple enough for a 6 year old and maybe a 4 year old to play?
I'm thinking along the lines of something point and click with very basic (or no) text, since they dont read as yet.

So far angry birds works fine, but of course it does get a bit challenging, I want something thats story driven and easy, to be played with a mouse or if a controller then it must have very basic controls

And no the lego games wont work because theres too much text

Mmm will have to give this some thought. My kids started with Lego games from age 5. It was an instant love affair for them. I don't recall the text getting in the way. Lego Super Heroes is a hit, as is Batman 1 and 2 (Batman 3 had more difficult puzzles). They played a few hundred hours, and then just as they were starting to get over it (which took a LONG time), I downloaded a 100% save which unlocked a shitload of stuff they wanted, and in the process bought another few hundred hours. I will never forget the joy that flying around in Lego Super Heroes brought to them - cannot be overemphasized!

Sorry for hijacking your thread dash, but I'm also looking for PC games my 4 year old girl can play to improve mouse and keyboard skills

Will check some of these out, bear in mind the 6 year old is a girl so all this superhero stuff may not keep her entertained, I'll look at those games though. If there was a lego my little pony I would have been sorted.
I've got some educational games on my tablet, but the tablet is quickly running out of memory, so I'm thinking I'll build a cheapo media pc with maybe a 1060 for some games

Feeding Frenzy 1 and 2 , Plants vs Zombies or look at other games from PopCap or Reflexive
Bad Piggies
Farm Frenzy
Hidden object games.
Disney Universe (I think it supports controller)
Bob the Builder games

Can't remember the others, will update when I remember more.

Ice Age - Continental Drift (has some pretty nice 2 player modes to compete against each other)
Cars - Radiator springs (had some nice memory games and puzzle games.)

Skylander games? I am actually currently selling the first three games plus numerous figures for the games?

My daughter isnt too interested in games. But what I got for her are couple of Lego games, rayman legends, Giana Sisters (loves this one) and WWE lol.

IIRC only Skylanders - Spyro's Adventure is on PC. Rest is console.

Actually have it.....hmmm..........just sitting in my cupboard.

Bro even I struggle with some of the later stages of crash

Lol yeah same here. You could also look at those hidden item games, Big City adventure is a good one.

Yeah good point. My daughter loved the girl super heroes and also the flying heroes. She also loved Runner 2, but she was around 8 at that time.

Rayman Legends could be a winner as well, good idea. Some others that might be worth looking at: Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Everybody's Golf, Trine, NFS, Forza Horizon 3, Overcooked, Minecraft, Dark Souls 3 (just kidding about DS3)

That Disney game that comes with or used to come with Windows 10? It's kinda slow. Or that kitchen game if you want something faster paced. Al clicking, no typing.

Lego Games
Hidden Folks
A Hat in Time
Skylar & Plux
Snake Pass
Mini Ninjas
Grow Home (also has a sequel with more mechanics)
Yooka-Laylee
Super Lucky's Tale
Crash Trilogy
Max: The curse of Brotherhood (Win Store only)
(Micky's) Castle of Illusion
F1 Race Stars
Sonic & Sega All-stars racing (and the sequel Racing Transformed)

And for something a little more mature considering it's car genocide (but clean car genocide, just not cartoon-based): Split/Second

Maybe even Sonic Forces and Sonic Mania
Trials: Fusion
Trackmania?
Sideway New York tm
Super Dust Force
ok I think I'm getting too challenging now

(Edit: Some of these may have ready bits, I'm going by cleanliness and cutesyness of the majority of gameplay, haven't actually played most, just seen vids and added to wishlist)

I miss educational games from our past like Maths Blaster and The Magic Schoolbus.
Some were pretentious and awful but others were genuine quality.
How will kids ever learn to type now that Kid's Typing with Spooky the ghost is a thing of the past?!
