Keyboard Nut Thread

So... I lubed my Anne Pro 2 without desoldering, and holy crap, it's a huge difference (SuperLube 51004 from Amazon).

I am extremely pleased with the resulting sound and feel. Only thing is, I can still hear some spring ping on some of my keys (spacebar is one of them sigh), so one day when I am brave, I will have to desolder, open switch, lube spring, and sommer make nice band-aid bed for my stabalisers. (might as well do all the stabalisers, while I am at it.)

I don't think I can ever go back to non-lubed mechanical keyboard switches.

Just a sidenote: The noise from your stabs is most probably the metal bars, not the noise against your pcb/case.

Look up holee mod or how to lube and mod your stabalisers. :)

Some work ahead of me dis weekend.
Brushes and lube are ready for dem switches.

Not sure if I am.

Dude, that certainly is an amazing board.
Hefty AF and really great switches and caps.

Please send me the link for it. It has peaked my interest

@ENDU1997 With your CNC couldn't you make some switch openers?
Instead of having to import might be a nice local group buy if you can fabricate them.

I could absolutely make them but whether I do is largely dependant on how many people would be interested.
How many people here would want one, given pricing is similar to what's already on the market?

Yeah, somewhere in that ballpark. I would need to model something up and get pricing on material and finishing before committing to any pricing though. Let me see what I can put together.

That would be awesome dude!
Something that could open MX and Kailh switches would be tit!

I might be wrong, but I think most people ordered one from KPrepublic in the current group buy
Yeah I did and I was just thinking this but I mean I would totally buy another one if it was good quality and looked nice.

Switch break-in machine

Random person: "How deep into the keeb rabbit hole are you?"

Keeb weeb: "I present to you my switch break-inanator 9000"

Random person: "Mother of God..."
POM switches stand no chance! I'm keen to build one just for the fun of it. @RobinGast is your cad open? :D

Hi every, I'm new to this deep and dark rabbit hole. Just got myself a Ducky One2 Mini with Silent Reds, already planning on switching out the keycaps for some puddings and some spicy new keycaps that a certain online store will hopefully be bringing into the country in the near future ;). Going from a full size to a 60% is definitely taking some adjustment.
