Description of Bad Deal:
I was looking to purchase a Raspberry Pi 4 as per my thread above.
He contacted me and said he had one and sent pics via Whats App. Made out to be very honest and trustworthy.
I asked for his banking details and if he would do Postnet to Postnet as he supposedly lives in Durban and I'm Jhb, he said no probs.
He gave me Standard Bank banking details, said it was a business acc and asked me to use a specific reference - this should've been the red flag but I paid nevertheless (lesson learnt).
The following day he made promises to send me the waybill but nothing and now he's totally ignoring me (here, Whats App and calls).
I contacted Standard Bank Fraud division and they confirmed that the account is for VALR (a Crypto trading platform) and that I should contact them.
Contacted VALR and they informed me that the funds have left their platform but to send further info - lets see what happens.
Please beware of this guy
