Position Available: IT Technician / Dedicated internal IT Support for a group of companies.
Number of Positions: 1
Employment type: Permanent, after a 4 Month Probationary Period
Salary: R 12 500.00 P/M (Negotiable dependent on experience)

Starting Date: Mutually agreed by both parties. (preferably ASAP)
Location: Cape Town (Office situated in Goodwood however travel to surrounding clients within a 50kms radius). If you are residing in KZN (South Coast) and looking for a relocation to CPT, please apply as this will assist in learning our internal systems / clients etc.
Job Description/Requirements:
Basic requirements: Security conscious individual. Updating client and internal reports timeously. Communicates in a professional and effective manner with Management, Co-workers, Clients and other relevant persons as needed. Problem solving skills advantageous within company procedure. Ability to function autonomously – reporting to HO in KZN. Potential to securely store support stock/backup stock. Minimum A+/N+ qualifications. English written and spoken skill required. Excellent customer service & manners. Reliable, honest and of sober habits. Willingness to learn

Assist customers telephonically, in person and remotely with any IT queries/problems.
Assist users with Internet Connectivity, E-mail and hosting related queries / problems.
Doing call outs as necessary.
Managing and maintaining Clients IT infrastructure.
Computer repairs and maintenance.
Setting up and installing hardware and software for clients.
Assist with Server management and maintenance.
Backup and Antivirus monitoring.
Following Company procedures as laid out by Management.
Networking and Cabling as required. (Ad-Hoc)
Checking the support system and logging tickets on behalf of clients.
Respond to and resolve emergency support tickets as soon as possible.
Liaising with 3rd party providers on behalf of Employer and our clients.
Quoting and ordering of hardware as required.
Ensure SLA response times are adhered to.
Support the team in achieving the objectives of the company.
Manage the help desk system and leverage the system to its fullest potential.
Ensure all tickets are dealt with in a timeous manner and handled correctly.
Reporting to management on client’s networks and with relevant reports as required.
Ensure company is delivering exceptional customer service and performance.
