I think we stole all the b650 steel legends lol XD. It's not showing up anymore on their site, count your stars
Lol, I guess we got lucky. This was my first time building a PC and the B650 Steel Legend was my first choice motherboard. Glad I purchased it when I did.

Been trying to get a quote for a full build from @ITworkup SA since Thursday last week, with no success.

Went in to fetch a motherboard for a friend and spoke to Tim who said I should email my parts list through and they will quote on what they can do, including building the PC.

6 days and 6 email reminders later, still no quote or commitment.

hi i placed a order with u guys a while back but got a email that u guys had a plane crash any update or idea when i will be getting my Order ID: #62147
Good day,

11 out of 14 boxes have just arrived at our office. We expect to receive the full shipment by the end of this week. We sincerely apologize for the slight delay, but a force majeure event occurred at our airport, causing everything to be delayed by a few days. We will inform you as soon as the shipment is dispatched.

Thank you!

Hi there,

We sincerely apologize for the delay. Could you please forward your email request to support@itworkup.co.za? This will help me investigate further, as I currently don’t have any specific details, including your email.

Thank you!

I ordered a CPU from ITWorkup on the 18th of November 2024. I received my order on the 4th of December. I also received an email informing me about delays due to the DHL plane crash on the 27th of November. I exercised the pay on delivery option, which requires a R500 deposit.

Everything went smooth for me. I expected the long delivery cycle.

The CPU works fine, but the packaging was damaged, nothing serious but made me wonder if my product is brand new.
Would I use them again ... Probably, but they will not be my first choice, since I do not know how well these imported goods will be supported.

I forwarded you my email yesterday morning.
There has been no response to that email either.

Regardless, I created a cart, placed an order and paid a R500 deposit.

All of the items were marked as "5+ In Stock at Warehouse", which tells me that my they should be ready for collection as soon as my deposit is allocated.

Over to you.

You are going to be disappointed if you think "In stock at warehouse" means it's going to be fast, it means the stock is at their Europe warehouse and delivery times are
Johannesburg, Pretoria Area 5-12 working days. Cape Town, Durban Area 5-12 working days. Outlying Areas 6-14 working days.

Strange how all the new accounts come here to vouch for them while everyone else is struggling.
None of what I said was me vouching for them. Weird how you've interpreted it that way.
I've highlighted their lack of communication and commitment.

And then I've given them an opportunity to back up their service claims.

You made the mistake of assuming I'm talking about you, check the previous posts vouching for them.

Ordered a B650 Steel Legend Wifi motherboard on the 7th of November and it arrived on the 25th of November as expected. Built a new PC with it same day and haven't experienced any problems. My first experience with them has been a positive one.

Only person I could find that gave a positive review so far that I would trust is Chris, and hell, I still wouldn't use them due to the amount of complaints from others.
Bought a AM5 Mobo for a friend it arrived and works perfectly. Model:A620M PRO RS when they had stock availible. So 👍 from me

@Petester has used them multiple times and seems happy.
Ive been very happy with it. Done a few orders and no issues so far.
Comms have been very good with me.
Just need to be a bit patient if your stock is imported . 12 working days approx to main centres.
That AIO is in Midrand, so you would get it within 2 days or so.
If it says "in stock at Warehouse" then it's an overseas warehouse. "In stock at IT workup" then of course available at their branch

Looks like its a hit/miss kind of scenario with stock issues and excuses
Never mind the fact that not a single person has mentioned any experience with returning defective goods down the line.

Its very easy to give good service when taking someone's money (although apparently not that easy based on some of the comments in this thread). It's much more difficult when it comes to refunding or replacing an item, where it actually costs the company something to provide the baseline level of service.

I wonder how much of a discount you get on your next order for coming here on Carb and vouching for them.
I came to vouch for them because I know how hard it is to build a reputation in this sphere. I had no problems with my 2 products which happened to be some of the most fragile components in my entire build which showed me they were handled and packaged properly. Their prices were extremely competitive compared to wootware, delivery arrived in the foreseen time, products weren't damaged, why wouldn't I give good feedback? I'm not buying anything off their site anytime soon as I just built my pc so no, I didn't review them for "discounts"

Obviously not everything on their site is cheaper but that's why you need to shop around.

I would recommend people buy stuff that is less likely to break down. So for me I've found some CPU's to be very competitive and not something that gives issues if you know how you handle them. Use the search function of a model you are looking for. There might be like 10 listings all with different prices but then you just order the cheapest one.

Certain motherboards are very competitive as well but there is more risk attached with buying one.
So i tend to just top up on CPU's if i need, as they seem to be better priced than any local retailer or my own suppliers.

Most of the other components are not really worth buying, as prices are close enough to local shops.

its not for everyone but nice to have an alternative.

I'm not saying you were wrong for sharing your experience (unless they gave you an incentive for doing so, in which case, you must disclose that for full transparency).

I'm saying they haven't proven their reputation as reliable, especially since their cheaper stock seems to come from grey imports, meaning there's no local distributor support if something goes wrong, meaning you're entirely in their hands in that situation - and the quality of that support is untested, and therefore, unproven.

Incidentally this business model (if my assumption is correct) is similar to Evetech's, who have a reputation for very poor service in the context of RMAs.

It's one thing to say "my stuff arrived on time," it's very different to say "my R 20 000 GPU failed 5 months after I bought it and they replaced it within a few days with no questions asked." The latter is what makes a store reliable, not the former.

Yea definitely, if being on 3 months holiday playing pc games from morning till night is working for them lol
Damn! So ITworkup is paying you enough to not work for 3 months.

Yes I understand the RMA side needs to be just as good. Unfortunately there aren't that many experiences in this forum with their RMA's so definitely be wary. Hopefully some unlucky guy who gets a DOA item can share their experience here.

I just shared my experience as I was very skeptical about the CPU being R700 cheaper than wootwares and the motherboard arriving with bent pins. I was surprised to see all was well on delivery.

And to clarify, did not do the feedback for an incentive. The incentive for me was there being nothing wrong with my parts.
