Hi guys, I would like to pursue building and troubleshooting pc's as a technician in the future. My IT course consists of hardware and software (including sql, Java and security) however I found my interest lies in physically interacting with Pc's. I have vacation for a month being from 13th December to 13th January. I would like to apply to evetech to become a pc technician there but they require a year of experience. Is there any suggestions of places I could try to get work for that month as a pc technician? I'm willing to either intern or work. I am not the best with computers but I have really taken a liking to it over the past few months and even built one myself. Please let me know any suggestions. Thank you

Well development work does pay a lot more than most hardware centric stuff but if you are really interested in the hardware side of things you can ask for a work experience gig at Dimension Data or whichever big company is around you(simply emailing everyone you can think of that is close to you worked for a friend of mine). Also check Gumtree, there are occasionally full time offers for IT Technicians where the employer will give you the job for a month or so at a much reduced rate. Also if it is hardware you're interested in try advertising yourself as a PC builder. Lots of people buying hardware this time of year who don't know how to assemble it.
