I'm looking for information regarding what to study (shorter term) in the IT field? I currently don't want to pack on the 4year course and looking for advice in what courses I can look at regarding any IT direction.

I'm new to looking into going this direction because I was given an opportunity from work and I mainly only have experience in hardware related stuff, so wanna study something that will give me knowledge in the software field for instance Networking and Server related.

Thanks in advance.

So IT is a very broad term. It could consist of many different things.

But you did mention that you want to go into networking. Have you looked at being Cisco certified maybe? You can maybe apply for a CCNA and then move up to CCNP?

But if you want to delve deeper, you can also look at Network programming. It’s a really complex thing to do, but you have some experience in hardware, so it could also be a good fit for you
