Hi everyone

I am in the market of purchasing a new laptop for my dad and wanted to know if the following is worth the buy

The laptop will mainly be used for general everyday things like (browsing, youtube, office applications etc. with the occasional movies.)

I tried to find reviews but could not really find any, so was hoping some current owners could share some of their user experience and how it handles everyday use and Windows 10

Thanks in advance

Never ever buy a celeron. i3 minimum. 8GB RAM (can always upgrade it after purchase) . An SSD is great but he may not be too fused about it. You can get a Hikvision 250GB SSD for R500 brand new.

Standie with @souljazk

Stay away from Celeron and if it has a cd drive get an adapter that allows you to add a secondary 2.5 inch module. Seen it for R140

I believe what the gents before me are saying is, this is a piece of kak

Don't think these are so bad. But please note that on most these celeron laptops you can't upgrade the ram later. We had an issue with alot of lenovo celeron that we used where they would pack up after warrantee. We have not been using Asus also with celeron and upgraded to cheap ssd Western digital Green drive 240gb and it makes then really usable. Please note that once your dad tries to run multiple programs at the same time it's going to hang. But most movies should work without issue. We have even upgraded some to win 10 pro as they tend to come with windows 10 single license. If you can go I3 you won't regret it but it tends to be a big jump and was not worth it for us. Ours where for office staff working with MS software and browsing.
