Oh so once replaced does the FaceID not work or is there something else that they didn’t do if they replaced the screen.

Doubt it. Saw a video recently of a guy repairing a iPhone 6 and he mentioned that Touch ID functionality is also lost if you replace the home button. I think it is a security measure.

Yes when you replace the button the Touch ID stops working, but you can replace the screen and use the original home button and it will continue to work.

Done this myself a few times without having the Touch ID fail.
