I'm just going to avoid Netflix movies in their entirety--9 times out of 10, they are shit or underwhelming. Some sort of a working theory: Why would netflix spend more money on 1.5 hours of content when they can spend the same amount of money on half a season of content to keep you watching? Their main incentive is to keep you on their platform for longer, and series do that better than movies, so they are geared towards making their series better (or unnecessarily longer-Luke Cage Season 2 FFS) while not really making their movies up to fluff, since you only watch a movie for 1.5 hours, while you watch a series for +-10 hours. Their economics basically demand that their movies tend to the shit end of the scale while their shows (as they are inclined to invest less in them), so series often have bigger budgets and can create more compelling stories and movies are basically filler for between seasons.

I don't know why they are trying to make movies, they are simply just shit at doing it. Some of the worst movies I've watched have all been on netflix.

Low budget... that's the motto of everything these days
I enjoy a well written low-budget film (eg most art house), but IO was a massive let-down. The plot flowed erratically; the chemistry between the actors wasn't strong enough to have just the two characters; and the ending was silly IMO. It could've been far better with a better writer.

I'm going to go out on a limb here.... I never remember the names of most of the things I watch... I have a problem with short term memory but I won't elaborate on that. I had to go and check on Netflix if I actually watched IO. Well yes I did and I really enjoyed it. Maybe not the best but the story was fairly gripping to me. Trust me, if I watch something that does not pull me in I switch off or change the story.

I liked that it left me in wondering, where at the end the leading actress on the beach with what seems like it might be her child born with the immunity needed to survive perhaps.

I think we sometimes get so stuck in the current times with the current genre of movies that we don't see the good in anything other the the current best.

I'm not saying that the IO is the best, or great, but I ( and listen when I say "I") felt that it was nice watching it, not that bad.

I also thought it was very disappointing.

It has a great premise and a lot of promise.

But it was waaay to slow and too long. Essentially nothing at all of moment happened. And the ending. Well, the less said about that the better...
