Intel 12th Gen and Ram

ADATA XPG LANCER RGB DDR5 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR5 DRAM 6000MHz CL40 1.25V

Is the one you want
So this is the shizzle then?

It depends if you want to manually tune or run XMP. To be dead honest, all DDR5 is underwhelming at XMP.

Hmmm, I am not that in to manual RAM tuning to be honest but willing to give it a bit of a go.

Ok, it is one of these 3 kits. Is the extra money worth the extra speed between 6000 and 6400? Or, will any 6000 kit be more than suitable? I am a GSkill and Team Extreem fan, never used the Adata brand.

You already know what I'm going to suggest.

Highest speed + lowest timings = win.

If you want to manually dabble, then get the Adata kitt IMHO.

If you are using this pc to game on, would there be a noticeable difference between what ram you choose? I am assuming you are going to game at 4k?

Bought myself a b-die kit to tune a bit, I am unable to go past 3700 mhz on gear 1 with 11th gen setup. Lots of time and energy to gain minimal fps in gaming. (1 or 2 fps @ 4k?)

Not untrue. People who game at below 100 FPS, especially when CPU overhead is low, will not benefit much from worrying about RAM stuff.

Says the guy ranting about ram overclocking and bad memory controllers a few months back :ROFLMAO:
There are some quirks inherent to ADL, but I didn't find tuning DDR5 particularly difficult. It's actually the contrary. Once you get something to train and once you've nailed SA, VDD2 and TX VDDQ, you're almost at TM5/HCI Pro stability. With D4 you could pretty much be adjusting timings for hours before the errors on HCI Pro/TM5 stop.

What is the general gear 1 ceiling on alder lake? Also, any problems with your taichi? looks like a solid board to me.

I'd say best to maybe get a kit near gear 1 max and dual rank and be done with it, unless ram tuning is a hobby.
3800-3900 on meh IMCs, 4000 on good IMCs, 4100-4200 on elite samples, and 4300-4400 on the top 0.0001%.

Ok, I have decided that the 6400CL32 kit is overkill so the question is should I get the GSkill or Adata 6000?

I’m leaning towards the GSkill

Amazon have refunded my DDR4 board and said I can keep it, I was suspicious I may have spoken to a rogue agent when they said I could keep the board but after it arrived I chatted to them online and they said I don’t have to send it back

What is the best ddr4 32gb kit on the planet?

Depends on many factors.

Best kit I’ve ever owned is a dual channel dual rank 32gig kit of Corsair RBG Pro.

Best 16 kit would also have to have the Patriot Viper steel 4400 in the shortlist.

That being said, there are a lot of factors.

Cool, I have a few spare 3600 cl14 Team Extreem 2x8gb kits. They have to rank up there with the best for Ryzen although my use case is 12th gen Intel

I really really wanted one of those kits. I got 2 kits of the TeamGroup 3200 cl14-14-14-14 kits but I really wanted the 3600 CL14 version.

How and where did you get them from? Cost?

I bought 4 of the 2x8gb kits from NewEgg 2 years ago. 4x8 are in my main computer, 1 in my bench and the other 2 modules are in my miners. A bit of a waste I know. PM me , I have a plan

AFAIK the best kit money can buy would be the 1.55V 4000 14-15-15 2X16 kit that G.Skill sells. Would probably buy that if we actually had stock of it in ZA. There's a 2X8 variant as well, but DR and 32GB is probably what you'd want for a daily system. You'd also have a chance of achieving Gear 1 with ADL, but 4000 14-15-15 Gear 1 probably isn't something every ADL IMC can achieve.

More than likely you'd need something in the realm of 1.35V SA (totally safe) and perhaps 1.45V TX VDDQ (probably wouldn't want to go higher than that). In terms of manual OCing, I mean a good bin of that kit can probably do 4300C14 1.6V, but thus far I've only come across one dude on OCN with an IMC that good. Pretty mind-boggling how much performance can be had out of pulling good bins.

Nah, live on the wrong side of the tracks for woolies. Have a spar though.
If you have a V16 ford, broken down in the front yard........best move.....rather stay put, we don't need your type inbreed with the rest of the population, I am a speciesist, I believe bloodlines should be free and pure from ford owners....

I guess I feel the same about apple and AMD users :p

Don't fall into any of those categories, lol. Drive a Chevy, use an Huawei with google mobile services still, have an intel CPU.
