Intel 12th Gen and Ram

Ok, time for more advice

I'm looking for a very good air cooler for a 12900k and an ITX case.

I have a Lian Li Q58 and a TU150, should I be looking at something else?

The build is getting an EVGA 3080TI XC3 Ultra and I've decided this build will replace my current build

Considering this cooler.

Noctua NH-U12S chromax.Black

Or

be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4

Do they even fit in the case? the best air coolers, dual tower 140s struggle to fit in full ATX cases because they need 160mm of cooler height, not sure on those two specifically but something to consider especially in an itx case.

Thanks, I have thought of that

According to Lian Li there is a 165mm clearance for a cooler in the TU150

The Q58 has considerably less clearance at 67mm, if I use the Q58 I would go 240mm AIO

Damn that's as much as my 215. Lol, small but big case.

I would go for it, if we had SA Stock but luckily not a consideration for you...
There is a very well stocked PC supplier in Dubai called Microless that delivers to me. Not the cheapest but not too bad.

Just hope it will clear my GSkill Z5's

Compare the clearance to the stick height and see if it'll fit?

:( received the AK620 today and it doesn't fir on the board. The stack that holds the NVMe drives is too high for the angled heat pipes to clear.

I had a feeling it may be an issue.

Off topic, but that pcie slot not been coloured bothers me way too much & those interface headers placement is fucking horrible, why, WHY put everything above the GPU in the least accessible spot xD People do realize it's humans interacting with the hardware & have human hands right(right)? xD

Why the hell is that stack so big though. No reason that heatsink needs to be the same size as the main heatsink. Maybe remove it if your M.2 has it's own heatsink or return the cooler. You're probably going to run into the same issue on many of the bigger towers with such a thick heatsink.

Should've gone AIO though. Arctic Freezer II 240m or 280mm.

It's not an isolated issue. The VRM heat sinks on ADL ATX boards are very obstructive, D5 slots are closer to the socket, and all ITX boards save for the Z690i Unify (my pick) utilize this stacking solution for multiple drives. To be dead honest, ADL runs so warm that you basically need an AIO.

Neither of which fit in a TU150 :p The only 2 fans next to each other are at the bottom and the GPU would be too big to fit an AIO anyway

Without heatsink works perfectly fine and there is a thermal pad under the NMVe slot so it may be sufficient to cool the SSD. Will have to monitor and check or buy another smaller heatsink.

The standard heatsink is 18mm thick

The reason I wanted such a big air cooler is the additional fan would also keep the components around the CPU a little cooler

It's not the VRM heatsink though, it is the stack above the PCIe slot that holds additional fan headers, 2x NVMe slots and some other stuff

And, if DeepCool had a method of rotating the cooler 90 degrees it would fit perfectly.

I did mention that as well haha. Basically all ADL boards have major obstructions in and around the socket area.

The next parts have arrived, mandatory upgrade for my office go-kart as well

Well, that was an absolute nightmare. I had a stick of DDR5 fail in the 6000 CL36 kit then after I built the system I found the wifi disappearing every now and then. I did some research online and found this.

I am returning both boards, DDR4 and DDR5. DDR5 I will get a refund, DDR4 I will ask for a swap for an ATX board of the same value..

Intel is poo
