Hi all, I'm the I.T. person for a company and we currently have an issue with the Wi-Fi not hitting the max incoming Fibre speed.

Ive told one of the AP's to broadcast only on the 5GHz band with no neighbouring AP's and when I do a Speedtest I get a max of 100-150Mb/s with no one in the office our link is 300Meg

My phone/laptop reports a link speed of over 300 so it should receive up to 280 ish.

Running a test from the CPE shows 290 up/down

All the AP's are on gigabit links connected to the controller.

Can anyone recommend me a company or person that specialises in this as I don't know what is wrong.

Thanks.

Even on your local lan hitting the theoretical maximum speed is not easy.
Try it. Connect 2 PCs with a Gigabit link and copy a file from one to another. Chances are you will get around 80MB/s if you are lucky (Gigabit links should be capable of 125MB/s)

Wireless has a substantial number of factors affecting it.
