I want to learn to code, what advice can you give me (please).

i would suggest looking at thenewboston on youtube. Used him for learning java. Also i would suggest learning java first as its difficulty is moderate , not as easy as python and not as difficult as c++. I have learnt java first, learning other stuff like sql, python was easier then.
Just my opinion though
Basic principals are same for most languages.

Howzit man, I’ve been working with a few team mates that have been trying to get into Dev. I often direct them to W3schools, I have recommended this to many beginners over the last 20 years and they have found it as a good place to learn.

In my experience the most comprehensive tutorials across multiple languages and its free.

I am on this train too, I have Udemy courses for Java, C#, and C++. DataScientist and a few other things. Currently learning functions. I understand the syntax on most of the stuff (vars, loops, objects) but putting them together is what gets me currently.

I am only a few hours in on the course and have gone back on loops and objects to understand the syntax and let the information sink in before proceeding. I still haven't formulated and proper picture in my head about how things are structured and interwoven so I am doing the things of giving it time. My one thing is that I do not do well when it comes to exercises, and so for me, I need lots of practice to drill it home. I understand the information when viewing it, but when it comes to writing and applying it and I get lost trying to structure it in my head.

I feel I would benefit more from a book since if the structure is there I can go back and look at it, in video format, I have to sift through the episodes to find the correct place in time where they speak of what I am actually looking for, which eats up a chunk of time sometimes.

Otherwise, I enjoy the structure and format of coding so far, I enjoy learning the content. Like I said my big thing is needing practice and proofing that my code runs correctly to really get the experience flowing and embedded.

Good luck in your endeavors SoulJazk, I hope you and I come right in coding!

A website that i found that is free and offers a wide range of languages is SoloLearn: Learn to Code ,you don't even need an IDE as they have a web based one although it isn't as feature rich as an IDE installed on your computer.

I didn’t read all the things sonif somebody already mentioned it , i apologize ! But my recommendation is The Odin Project , it doesn’t hold your hand and forces you to think and find solutions . Cheers
