I want to get into CSGO who is willing to teach a NOOB

Get a Zowie the most used mouse in competitive CS:GO... the DeathAdder is the second most used mouse... Had both of them... The death adder gives you the best quality and sensor for the price but the drivers are pretty bad but they haven't given me any problems... The Zowie EC1-B( My current mouse ) has a similair shape to the DeathAdder, what i like about the Zowie is there is no drivers you change the DPI and polling rate on the mouse itself and the mouse is really comfortable would recommend both

Second that the Zowie took me from MG2 to DMG in less than 100/150 hours :) Cannot emphasize general game sense and spray control enough!

How do I check if my ping is good or bad as lastnight felt abit laggy while myself and @SEXCZN were jamming

Watched and practised some tactics from warowls video getting there 1 step at a time :)

Just Google how to enable the netgraph in CSGO.

Netgraph will show your true ping so don't be surprised that it's higher than your ping on the leaderboard.
Also important to always check your loss and sv on the server because that is often the biggest indicator of an issue,

Thanks a million I have been practising and will continue to do so with strafing also learning AIM tactics but more importantly the map itself ,,,

Watched reviews of hyperx cloud alphas looks solid thus far ---

Speaking of which, what causes SV? I get loss can be client side or server side, and ping can be a router bottleneck on your side as well as poor ISP routing, but I don't understand how to get rid of server variance. Is that on valve's side?

I spied on you yesterday before finding a spot on the same server, not sure if the perspective was off, but it looked like you were aiming very low (chest centre) when shooting.

Really lol I do know some of the rounds were hectic , havent adjusted my cursor yet so its possible thanks for pointing out :)

The music and tit-for-tat swearing got to me after a while

What music? You can lower/off the csgo music volume . If someone is playing music through their microphone you also can block them.

Some chop was playing music and people were swearing at each other. Makes it impossible to hear any footsteps, which I guess was the point.

Thanks for the tip though.

In casual I tend to just voice_enable 0 in console
Problem solved globally, then you can game in peace.
Alternatively you can play around with voice_scale x.x (being a value 0.5 etc ) this adjusts the voip volume globally

LOL the first thing you do in CSGO is disable chat audio. It’s the most toxic game community there is. You know it’s bad when an 11 year old calls you a poes :/

I've always felt that while CSGO has toxic players, it is nowhere near as bad as Dota 2. You can often queue with some really cool people in CS, whereas in my 1000 hours of Dota I have almost never found people that are not toxic in game

Most games seem to have a toxic element to them. There are exceptions though.

BF4 (-) got verbally abused by some kid, so i got a revenge badge against same player. With a pistol. That was fun.

BF4 (+) once landed with some really cool okes in a squad. Once they realised i was listening and cooperting, we had craploads of fun. Dominated a bit too.

Diablo3 (+) used to play on EU servers with a bunch of Russian players. Most fun game, got thanked every time for dropping items i did not itend to use.

I just jammed an hour + and damn its laggy as shit felt as if hackers are around ;)

Me no plays that garbage so luckily I have not encountered that, but yes, I hear Dota 2 is quite bad too.

My learning curve is providing some interesting insight so far , need lotsa practice still but enjoying all the good/bad that CSGO has to offer :)

Thanks to @Fox22743 @SEXCZN @LaidtoRest_ZA for the matches we played

Hey gents, Some good SA cs happening tonight over at Twitch.tv/mettlestate from 7pm. Top 16 Teams competing for 50K, if anyone wants to watch for some pointers on SA meta etc.

Is this not the evetech league season or some other ?

I will watch some thanks for the headsup

I think given the level of CS and progression in this discussion, the SA meta is irrelevant. :p But still, some good CS to watch and learn.

@SILTECH786, there is no shortcut to 'git gud', but you know dis! :D . Don't worry too much with peripherals etc etc. Practice practice practice. Play aim maps and 1v1 maps until you can't stand it anymore.
If ping is bad, play offline training maps.

If you can aim, you can learn the rest of the game on a casual level rather quick.
