Is that just a normal tote or is it a food safe tote. You don't want to be responsible for killing people
As with most of the commercially available hydro kits, it is not made from BPA-free plastic. Hydro farms even use plastics and PVC that isn't food safe. The amount that leaches into the water is so minimal it's almost undetectable. There are some studies that show plants absorb BPA that was fed into water and converted it into glucose.

It's a very debatable subject, commercial growers are not using special plastics, it doesn't appear to be a threat. You are not consuming food stored or drinking the water from these containers, you're consuming a plant that seems to be able to work out toxins. If I put chocolate in the tote doesn't mean I'm going to have chocolate flavored lettuce... Plants rework elements in the water.

Keep in mind this is a sale thread

Can't plants die if they are over-watered?

Co's now these things are constantly in water. Weird that it works. Keen to try it, Flippin interesting
This system has been designed to give the plants everything they need to survive and thrive, they will not die if you follow the instructions ;)

So can I not ask about it? If you use the pesticides with that reasoning, it would also be safe since plants also rework it? How do I buy seedlings? and in what media?

Pesticides work in a different manner. They are sprayed onto the leaves, not into the soil. If we were worried about the water the plants get, we shouldn't eat veggies at all, because fertilizer is not very good for us humans at all.

In short - don't worry about it.

That's why you will get an air pump and air stone with this system, by keeping the water well oxygenated and with the correct nutrients you can really maximise a plants potential.

It is a great hobby to get into, and very rewarding.

Very interesting .
What sort of instructions does it come with ? Also which types of vegetables / herbs can be grown in it ?
I'm in the process of making video instructions, also if you purchased you are added to the Whatsapp group.

You can grow, lettuce, mint, spring onion, parsley, basil, strawberries, rocket, spinach, etc etc. Just off the top of my head
Things like tomato, peppers, chilli, are a little harder to get going in hydro. Also, you cant grow carrots, potato, beets, things that grow as the root or in the ground lol

if you have something specific in mind, that you wanted to grow let me know, as I am shooting from the hip things I am doing right now
