ABOUT THIS GAME

Savage, nightmarish monsters roam the Louisiana swamps, and you are part of a group of rugged bounty hunters bound to rid the world of their ghastly presence. Banish these creatures from our world, and you will be paid generously—and given the chance to buy more gruesome and powerful weapons. Fail, and death will strip you of both character and gear. Your experience, however, remains in your pool of hunters—called your Bloodline—always.

HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD, HIGH TENSION

Hunt’s competitive, match-based gameplay mixes PvP and PvE elements to create a uniquely tense experience where your life, your character, and your gear are always on the line. At the beginning of each match, up to five teams of two set out to track their monstrous targets. Once they’ve found and defeated one of these they will receive a bounty—and instantly become a target for every other Hunter left on the map. If you don’t watch your back, you’ll find a knife in it, and your last memory will be of another team of Hunters walking away with your prize. The higher the risk, the higher the reward–but a single mistake could cost you everything.

PROGRESSION

Even in death, you will be able to progress among the ranks of Hunters via your Bloodline. Though one character may die, their experience will be transferred to your Bloodline, where it can be applied your other Hunters. If you make it off of the map alive, you will be able to use the money and experience you earn to kit out new Hunters and prepare for the next match. If you die, you lose everything but your experience.

DARK SIGHT

Dark Sight allows Hunters to see into the veil between worlds, making that which cannot be seen by mortal eyes visible to those who have been initiated. Use Dark Sight when you are tracking monsters, and a ghostly light will guide you toward your next target. Dark Sight also marks players carrying a bounty, making them more vulnerable to ambush while trying to escape.

So looking forward to this!!

Hmmm now this looks interesting ^ ^ and I can definitely back the guys at Crytek. I still have a problem with all these EA games coming out especially from the non-indie devs.
Any ideas what "Soon" would mean as it seems they have been toying with the idea since 2014. But I'm hyped thanks for showing PancakesZA

Looks like this game isn't gonna happen for awhile. Was really hoping for that Halloween release. But devs stated yesterday there is absolutely no new info, which leads me to believe the game won't happen till Q1 2018, possibly December but who knows. Just wish they gave something as their marketing is hella poor xD

I open steam every single morning when I wake up just to check if it's been released yet xD lol
So looking forward to it!!

It feels like I'm chasing a ghost with this game, but its exciting xD. FYI they are doing a 2hr gameplay showcase tomorrow on their twitch, and also the devs updated their steam page and 1 dev actually got into the game yesterday so maybe they getting close to a stable build? Who knows: tinfoil hats on xD

I need that theme as my ringtone xD, it sounds something like Taxi Violence would do, also if people living in CT don't know Taxi Violence, be ashamed of yourself, be very ashamed :p I hope this game is going to be good and balanced, maybe not even balanced, I must shit because someone trolled the shit out me after stalking me because I was too loud or whatever, it just seems as if it will be one to follow through.

Funnily enough, when they did their livestream for charity it was the most asked question (other than price/release date), where people could get the theme song as a standalone. Waiting for this "Winter" alpha to come out already, doubt they'll give any keys to anyone outside EU but heres hoping.

I was lucky enough to get a closed alpha key.
Played around an hour or so.

The first thing I noticed was the incredible sound design and ambient noise. There isn't a game I've played that comes close.
The game is also very pretty, with the best water and lighting I've ever seen.
Map design is good and fairly large, lots to explore and quite a few secrets and hidden stashes to find. I've also come across some traps that can be used against other players.
You can play like a lunatic or you can go full stealth...I'd recommend stealth as a solo though, you can easily get swamped by mobs and then you still have other players to deal with.
Shooting mechanics are a bit weird and it'll take a bit of time to get used to it. Player movement is also a bit janky but I'm certain they'll work on that as the game goes through alpha ect.
The leveling system is pretty good and you'll unlock traits and player upgrades as you play, you also gain access to different weapons as you level up.

Now to the not so good...I'm not sure where the servers are based but I had noticeable lag, even when killing the normal mobs.
Takes quite a while to find a game. This could just be an alpha thing, so it's a bit early to make assumptions about that.
The game runs pretty shitty, even on ultra high end pc's. Again that's to be expected, it is an alpha and there are no dedicated drivers and very little optimization at this stage.

The game is pure nightmare fuel and I would strongly suggest not letting your kids anywhere near it...The audio alone is enough to make you shit your pants..lol

Yeah the game will live up to standards in the near future as alot of people want this game to succeed thank you for sharing as always

I dont know if you were tracking it or not, but you did get an idea of what FPS you were getting? And on what system?

AMD 1800X @4.0Ghz
ASRock X370 Taichi
Corsair H110i GTX
G.skill TridentZ RGB 16GB@3200C14
Gigabyte GTX1080
Corsair Neutron XT 480GB
Coolermaster V1200 Platinum
Corsair Air 740
Samsung LC27FG70 144HZ Quantum Dot

Didn't mess with settings via the console (No graphics options are available in the menu at the moment)
The game was running at it's highest possible settings.

With V-sync on it was 60 most of the time, there were some dips into the low 20's though.
With V-sync off it would run into the 100's but it wasn't stable and their were definitely more drops in fps.

All of this is understandable though, the game is an early alpha build at the moment.

Ah thats not too bad then. Anything above 55 is still doable. I remember when PUBG first came out, I was often sitting at like 40 -45 frames.

Patch just dropped

Closed Alpha - Patch notes - February 2, 2018
2 February - Cry_Maquannas
Changes:
• Increased maximum Bloodline rank from 40 to 50
• Motion blur option has been added to the graphics setting
• Players who have the Steam overlay disabled now get a heads-up message that they need to activate it in order to invite their friends
• New unlockable weapons added to shop
Caldwell Conversion Uppercut (Pistol)
Winfield Talon (Rifle)
Vetterli 71 Karabiner (Rifle)
Cavalry Saber (Melee)
Decoys (Tool)
Dynamite Bundle (Consumable)
Packmule (Trait)

Balancing:
• Minor Bloodline and Hunter progression re-balancing, reducing Hunter XP bonus gates and increasing required XP for later Bloodline ranks
• Bullet penetration for thin metallic objects has been increased for high caliber weapons.
• Weapons now have less crosshair spread in shoulder aim for better accuracy
Designer’s Notes: This was done to help establish shoulder aim to be a reliable short to mid-range alternative to weapon sights, which are more treated as a sniper mode with slightly bigger zoom than in other games. Players should feel more confident placing reliable hits in shoulder aim now and use ADS mostly for precision shots and long distance sniping. We will continue tuning this in future updates.
• Reduced the amount of damage spider takes from shotguns

Bug Fixes:
• Fixed the issue where audio was playing when other players were spawning
• Fixed the issue where VOIP is not working if a user has non-alphanumeric characters in their Steam nickname
• Players now receive either extra dollars or a new item when unlocking a Bloodline rank, not both at the same time
• Frag Bombs and Dynamite are no longer sticking to the walls

Known Issues:
• Localization missing for the motion blur option and the steam overlay disable warning
