Yes it does work with Rain and is already configured as in the 3 months that I used it, it worked flawlessly with a Rain Sim card as long as there was coverage. Battery Life depends on use, constantly downloading huge files
lasts around 3 hours. Normal use (Browsing WhatsApp etc) lasted me about 6 hours.
