I seem to be suffering from a fairly serious bout of CUD at the moment.

Problem is, I can't seem to find a cure. Do I just wait it out and hope it passes? Do I need to apply a remedy? I don't know.

Current specs are in my sig. Not sure what region the inflammation is in, possibly the RAM? Is it a CPU infection? I just can't tell.

Someone qualified please help suggest a worthwhile cure.

It doesn't stop, stop trying to convince youself. Been through about 6 PC's this year lol, going onto my 7th basically next week.

shameless plug I have a 3900 & better RAM to feed your CUD, oh look, you in JHB how convenient.

😂😂😂😂😂

What are the RAMs you have?

Definitely time for a GPU upgrade, not sure if that 3070 can even run Solitaire. I hear they are going for bargains nowadays.
Agreed, 3090 or just buy a console like the peasant you are :p

I think you're finding it difficult to CUD because your rig is so well balanced. You could upgrade your CPU but you wouldn't see any performance difference. Maybe a bigger SSD would be nice but that's not a very CUDtastic upgrade.

Go ham on peripherals, maybe get a sexy head-fi setup.

Both of these muppets telling me they have RAM but neither one saying what they are or offering a link or a price.

Jirre salesmen are kak these days.
Trident Z RGB 3200Mhz CL16 64gb kit (4x16gb) for R5500...
Just look up my thread :)

I think you've nailed it. I've built the perfect machine. it is unbeatable. Now I sit with the dilemma of a full system upgrade or just bit-and-piece adjustments.

One thing I was looking at is a 5600X. I think it would game better. More RAM may help too, though I'm not 100% sure.

I have 2NVMes and 2 SSDs already so further storage upgrades would be fairly bland at this point.

I have Corsair HS70s which I'm thoroughly enjoying so I could upgrade them, but I'd probably be looking at some real money to do so.

So I have a solution...

You can gift me your GPU, then you are without a GPU, to make the scenario worst, you try to play a game (it's the worst experience of your life)...
Then you buy a new GPU, play said game again, BOOOOOM performance increase

Meh... if I do RAM it will be to faster, maybe 32GB DDR4-3600 CL16 - that's what I've been looking at.

Do a dual system build with custom loop in a 1000D
Yea I just don't know what I would do with a dual. Like when would I switch to the other rig?

Could move to an ITX motherboard / PSU and try cram everything into a tiny case
Not a fan of ITX builds. Too small and cramped. Also, my P400A Digital is sexy.

You have a 2080, what do you need another GPU for?
This is also a good option. Or start looking at some mechanical keyboards or plan a custom keyboard build
Never been a keyboard dude really. I have a mechanical already and it works just fine... :(

Part of your issue is that you're at 1440p, which means that RAM and CPU upgrades are pretty much moot - you are now almost entirely GPU-bound. So the only thing that will really boost your gaming experience is a new GPU, and beyond the 3070 you are at the ugly side of the curve of diminishing returns.

If you really want to gooi some randelas your main options are customisation. Custom keeb, custom loop, customise your desk area to make it more nice.

Also what chair do you have? I think you posted elsewhere you have a nice ergo chair but I am too lazy to look.
