How is this allowed ??? Racist at the highest level ??,

If anything, this thread is a good representation of how divided this country is.

Bro you hit it spot on

What I've learnt

1. I thought the youngsters on this forum would be more "free" thinking and less sheltered to the world. And I was wrong
2. I learnt some people actually live in fear rather than hate of another race and any emotional reaction is from exactly this
3. Lastly I've learnt that Flex is from Orania and proudly so as he became very patriotic when I miseplt the name of his hometown [emoji1787] (#baited)

I also learnt a few things:

1. Some people are unlearned because they chose to be and not because they don't know any better.
2. People will always choose to believe that which is easiest for them to live with regardless of what the truth is. Hell, that's why some people believe in a flat earth (#triggered).
3. The ANC has deceived many people. So many in fact that people are willing to overlook the injustice caused in the townships, where people are living without clean water and food, the injustice caused by racial discrimination, the injustice caused by corruption. The ANC continues to plunder and destroy and they are empowered to because as long as they keep people busy believing that a certain race is the issue and needs to be fought then they can continue to do injustice. The ANC is using the oldest trick in the book, distract people with racial issues while they plunder and loot. Might I add, judging by the general "knowledge" of some people on this thread they are mighty successful at it too.

Lol, call me idealistic but one difference my friend, that's all that is needed for people to realize that despite our differences we can all stand together against injustice and make a difference. I'm an undying believer of that and I am determined to prove you wrong.

Yeah we need to understand one another. You right ... All in our own way we should try and be more inclusive of one another. Won't lie we all very similar.

The only way for it to happen is mix more with others and understand each other. But I reckon when the world is only filled with coloured people (of mix race) will things not be about race.

But guaranteed human nature is such that they will still find some difference on which to hate or fear each other

Regarding murders and crime initiated by political parties. I reckon there has rather been more black on black killings because of political affiliations rather than members of a black majority party attacking a members of a white majority party or even people for that matter.

I wanted to read through this entire thread, wanting to comment on a few things but I got to page 10 and I couldn't read any further.

At the end of the day, we're all HUMAN BEINGS. Black, White, Colored, Asian, Indian, Fat, Skinny, Short, Tall, Millennial ( @Greekking ) - it should not make a difference.

We will never have a thriving economy if all the governments decisions are based on shit that happened in the past.

@adamr, there was something you said in one of your posts about having a range of friends from different kinds of ethnicity and that you could in no way be angry at one of said friends for getting a job where you (or someone else) couldn't because the system favors him. I believe you said "Life is unfair unfortunately". It doesn't have to be. The Government is unfair.

I believe you said "Life is unfair unfortunately".
He said that because life has favored him. Watch him squirm when asked to distribute his wealth to the previously disadvantaged.

My brother can we not fight together to achieve a dream? If Mandela believed it could be done, don't you think we can also dream like he did? I agree with you 120% except I want to believe that it won't be necessary for us to all be the same color, I want us all to embrace our diversity and stand together for what is right. Is that too idealistic? Or can we dream together?

Undoubtedly people will always argue over one thing or another. You have taught me an important lesson, that race, color and ethnicity shouldn't matter, so much so that it should not even be discussed. Unfortunately the government does enjoy pissing on everyone's sunny day every now and then by appealing to the racial issues. But its a fucking magic trick, they are deceiving people into believing their unequivocal lies to cover up their shortcomings.

What I am appealing to is for people to recognize injustice for what it is, regardless of who it is against. Julius Malema discriminated openly against Indian people and it was fucking heinous. Indian people should not have to agree with him that they need to take a look at themselves because some politician on a pew spits out some self fulfilling bullshit. Apartheid was fucking wrong and disgusting for discriminating and oppressing black people and it was a corrupt government system that put it in place too. I am not prophesying anarchy but accountability, the sooner we hold people accountable for their actions the sooner things will get better. BUT the only way we can do that is recognizing and speaking out against ALL injustice together.

As a kid I never was given any allowance like other kids. Bought my own car at 21 without any help from anyone; despite my dad being in the trade. Even recall working for a friends dad when I was like 10yrs old in a panel shop prepping cars for respray and he'd promise a certain fee and after short change me ... [emoji1787]

My first job saw me being discriminated against. Not been given the exciting pure engineering work but rather some reporting admin work. When I questioned it I was frowned upon and actually transferred to a more "menial" role. And this as me being a qualified electrical engineer with one of the highest marks from wits ...

So yes as an unsheltered individual I worked myself to where I am ... Worked around unfairness and I think I'm ok where I am today. And yes the world is very unfair ... Not just south africa

Is there anything one can do to change the EE and BEE systems? Do you think that even if a new government came in will they abolish bee and ee? I don't think so. Don't wait on it. Change your circumstance. It's like people waiting on the lotto.

And if I look around despite these systems in place I do see very successful white people, coloured people , Indian people ... More than ever before honestly. So people found ways to work around it. I always when posed with a situation consider my options and where each option will take me. I have a plan a, plan B and a plan c .... Always do.

We won't win in changing these current constructs ... Not in the short term and not by boycotting and demonstrating

Guy, listen.
I'm going to say this the last time.
My comment was about the first 10 pages of this thread.
There was a comment that the first 10 pages of this thread was damn good. My comment was about the first 10 pages of this thread not being damn good. That was what my comment was about.
My comment was not about changes and discussions and how we can all get along and how the world should be a better place.
My comment was about the first 10 pages of this thread.
There is nothing to prove wrong.
Even if this thread ends up solving world hunger, the first 10 pages of this thread was not damn good because it was just filled with a bunch of bickering.

If you end up changing people enough to end in injustices, then good on you.
The first 10 pages of this thread was not going to do that. I'm not saying YOU can't or anyone else for that matter. I'm JUST talking about the first 10 pages of THIS thread. I thought I made it clear in a previous response.

Either I'm not explaining properly or you don't want to understand.

Do you see how I didn't mention anything about you believing in change and wanting to stand with injustices and differences?
That's because it was not what my comment was about.

In truth (and also in my posts) I don't believe THIS specific thread or forum is where that will happen. THUS, this thread's first 10 pages is not as great as you made them out to be on the quote of the first post I made in THIS thread. This thread alone, not all the other threads, this specific one that we were discussing. NOT the other threads in all of the internet about the subject at hand, ONLY this one single thread.

Listen "guy". Why don't you go bullshit some other people. You were negative. Make a thread about it and try and change my mind? Or was it not you that stated the above? Did someone hack your computer?

Your threats are idle mate, go piss on someone else's doorstep.

You're not a bulldog so stop clinging on.

The thread was was facing closure. 10 pages was all I had to work with. And yes there was bickering, but there were also already some good posts, posts I wasn't sure would ever see the light of day, and almost none of the bickering was racial in nature yet.
Since then we've had even better posts, but we've also had even dafter bickering that's far more racially charged.

So let go already.

I could tell you a similar story about me and how I got to where I am now. If also dealt with my fair share of unfairness and fairness.

You say change your circumstance, I say change your mindset.

What you're basically saying nothing will change so why even bother - this mindset is why we're where we're at. You can ignore what's happening around you and change your circumstance. The problem will still be there regardless.

It might not happen overnight, or even over the next few years or decades. But if we all unite we for a common goal we can achieve anything.

So what do you propose we do to change things ? What are your ideas ?

I was told once by a very smart and wealthy businessman that only put effort into that which you can control .... I live my life by that

I love the discussion that is going on now. I am inclined to agree with both adamr and GaaTY.

I don't believe that we can change policies at top level right now, maybe some day though? With enough determination anything is possible. Ghandi was one man, Mandela was one man, Martin Luther King Jr was one man, Jacques Cousteau was one man. They were all ordinary people with extraordinary beliefs, dreams and viewpoints who eventually changed the world. Why can't we aspire to be like that? Ordinary people with extraordinary beliefs, dreams and viewpoints. Eventually one will persist.

Change begins at home, what we change in ourselves we radiate towards others, and I'm not preaching some mojo jumbo. Some kid could see you being the better man on the corner of the street and you could become a model for him/her. The cashier at the check out till could a have had a bad day and your kindness could have changed her thinking.

Do you know how many white people I've heard complain that black cashiers are rude? Have you ever considered what prejudice that person has experienced in their life? Have you considered that they have to sit and watch people, white people, buy needless things while they struggle at home? The only viewpoint that person sees is that a white person is more privileged than they are. Why don't you, as a white person, change that person's thinking?

It is commonly discussed that white people are privileged yet do you know what that white person had to go through to achieve what they did? Elon Musk was a white South African who ditched his military service and he changed a lot of people's thinking. He worked hard to achieve what he achieved and he did not agree with the white government at the time.

You cannot change policies right now but you can change people's minds. You can change the world one mind at a time.

First of all you took a screenshot of a page my friend, that is not a credible source? Where is the link?
Second of all, did you actually go on to read the rest of the article? Perhaps this is why you sent a screenshot instead of linking the whole article, you are hiding the truth.
Thirdly the extract you did post a screenshot of says and I qoute "Buthulezi came to be regarded more and more as a government puppet." this does not say he was a government puppet, it says he was regarded so. Do you know how many lies the ANC spread about the IFP and the IFP about the ANC during this time? I highly doubt it. Yes the IFP did have support from the government, the very same government who also sat down with the ANC, supported them and eventually handed the power over to them.
Lastly, I fear the worst for you my brother. I fear you have been brainwashed by a corrupt government and system. Unfortunately you have chosen to believe the lies that the ANC has spread, the biggest one being that the distribution of wealth would be fair and economically viable, which is, dare I say, a joke.
But peace be upon you too and may your journey wherever you go be fruitful my brother. I hope that someday you may see the light and recognise the lies of the government for what they are.
The Best of the Eusebius McKaiser Show

You know what scratch what I said before, I actually listened to the broadcast and it completely contradicted what you said about the IFP colluding with the apartheid regime. So no the IFP murdering members of the ANC had nothing to do with the apartheid regime.

Are you comparing what Hitler did to apartheid? Apartheid was wrong but it didn't kill millions of people and by that very definition Malema is Hitler too then and so is Zuma and the ANC? Because they sang kill the boer and white people were killed as a result? Or are there other factors that need to be considered. Oh wait you believe that white farmers being murdered is a conspiracy. You are contradicting yourself over and over again all over this thread my friend.

I'm past arguing with you, I'm not entertaining lunacy and ignorance.
