Honda XR150 LEK splutter/jerking at full throttle

Damn..those look really good. Do you know where they're made out of interest? I know SYM is pretty big here but they mostly do delivery bikes and scooters. Those are okay but they will inevitably start to give issues (we had a SYM Crox 125cc scooter before the XR and we had trouble with it not starting and the starter solenoid kept dying. Replaced the actual solenoid twice in maybe a year of ownership).

the zontes is most defnitely a chinese bike aswell :ROFLMAO:

check out this review though:

I feel Chinese bikes may be better than Taiwanese. They have a ton of features for a bike that costs 65 odd grand brand new.

if all goes well this year, i might just pull the trigger and get one, worse case scenario i just sell it again if i really don't like it as i can sell it with low mileage (planning on buying new)

Let me know what your take is on it if you do get one. I really do like the look of them.
I just fear something will go wrong with it and there are currently no dealerships in KZN that sell that bike (closest is Bloemfontein). Not sure about parts either.

yeah i saw, it will defs be more of a gamble for you, luckily there's 4 of them here in cpt, and im sure id be able to source parts through them, if need be

yeah i know what you mean, i worked as a guide for a company few years back (before i got my I.T papers), so i took people out on quads but we as guides rode 2 wheelers instead of quads though, the scramblers were all 200cc and they moved quite well i must say.

I unfortunately wrote off my bike last year, but im looking into getting one again though, i miss riding waaay to much man

Yes... Join the dark side bwhahahahaha.
I have a BMW S1000R if you interested ;)

@TimBru14
I went through a bit of the thread, skimmed most of it.
You riding a bike, You are comfortable with riding a bike but didn't know about a choke?
I mean no insult, It's just confusing to me. If a person is interested in biking they generally know how a bike works.
Glad you got sorted and are enjoying the thrills of the 150cc monster engine :p

Pretty sure most young folks nowadays do not know what a choke is. One of these days, people wont know what a clutch is either.

I did know about the choke, I just wasn't aware how this one works. I was told that most of the time it's either completely on or completely off (not 3 different settings).
The dealer we bought it from said we must ride the bike with (what I had discovered at the time) half choke on. I learnt from my mistake 😅
