[Wanted] Hisense 55" M7000 ULED 4k Smart TV

I had my eye on this as well but I've heard the N Series arent that good. You have any experience with them?
I have a 55n3000. Ps4 Pro HDR compatible. App store not great. Plays all formats over dlna media server. Great 4k Netflix . 4k content looks great. Great bang for buck I reckon but some Tv experts might shed more light

I have the 43N3000. It's very "meh" TV, and has a few drawbacks:

1. No Showmax app. It's a rights issue.
2. Crap remote. Large, old style and actually just plain disappointing.
3. No Bluetooth. That also means no BT connection to soundbars.
4. Crap sound. When I say crap, I mean CRAP. I had to move my soundbar just so I could hear what people are saying in movies. Even at 100% the TV's sound just didn't cut it.
5. Bad hardware that drives the apps and OS. This creates a laggy interface and crashing apps - often. Youtube videos crash after every 7th or 8th one watched and every now and again (about 2~3 times a month) it'll simply not properly load the Netflix app correctly. I then I have to reset the app and log in with email and password from the start.
6. Mine is around 3 months old and the WiFi is starting to act up. For the second time now this weekend it refused to find any available WiFi network. Obviously didn't connect to it either. I was about to take it off the wall to take it back to Makro when it started working again.

Honestly, I'm just waiting for one more thing to go wonky and I'll take it back to Marko, get store credit and buy a Samsung equivalent. My 3-year old Samsung lower-end TV performs flawlessly and without an issue, so why should I struggle with this Hisense one?

I bought this unit a few days ago Hisense55" and i absolutely LOVE IT

I was hesitant at first to buy a "Hisense" TV i mean comon it's Hisense, cant be anything as good as a Samsung / LG etc etc, but i i'm so glad i was wrong.
That 55" is incredible!

I also got a https://m.takealot.com/#!product?id=57948220 a few weeks ago. I’m really impressed! You def notice the HDR, the sound is great and I haven’t noticed any issues with the apps crashing and I watch YouTube and Netflix daily. I’ve got showmax on here aswell that works perfectly.

We have a 65inch SUHD LG downstairs and I honesty don’t notice much of a difference between the units. Yeah sure the LG display is better (slightly in my opinion) and has better features, faster response, better sound, better apps, better UI, and remote etc but for the price comparison (1/4th of the LG) the Hisense is amazing! And has a 4 year warranty.

I also own the Hisense 55' UHD Smart TV. Have had it for a year now and i can not fault it as yet. Netflix is brilliant if you have a good internet connection its even better in 4k(does eat data be warned). If you register the TV with Hisense you get another year or 2 not too sure. And it updates automatically over the WIFI no fuss. Plays everything i use the USB3 connection at the back and it plays anything you want to play.

Good luck in your search hope you find a nice TV.

I was actually out shopping for TVs just a week ago and looked at both of these. Tested both in the shop at Makro and the Hisense's UI was super slow while the Samsung is a bit better, still not great IMO. The picture on them is very comparable, both look great, I have however noticed a lot of picture stutter (kind of like blur but not really) on the MU7000 I ended up getting and lots of backlight bleed as well. Also, mine didn't come with the one remote thing it's supposed to come with, but rather a wonky little plastic remote :/

Have you tried turning off all the motion smoothing and what not?

I have the Hisense, and it was the same before turning off all that stuff. Now it's perfect

Dankie @jman20 , I actually tried that this weekend and it makes a huge difference, much better without smoothing enabled

Having spent some time actually getting into the nitty gritty of the Hisense M5010 this weekend, I still feel that the TV itself, in terms of picture quality, build, sound and price is absolutely fantastic.... the rather dull part unfortunately is the OS and APP support offered for it, VEWD is the platform developer and it's so limited.... if it wasnt for Netflix and Youtube you'd never have to visit their app store at all there's just nothing handy / good there tbh

Anyone know anthing about installing another OS on a TV :p
